SacTown Film Festival Official "Short Film Over 10 Minutes" Selection "Paid For" Written, Directed and Produced by Zemario Sheppard @sheppvideopro @servant_sheppard

Zemario is known for his real stories about real topics that challenges you and makes you think. Paid For is no different; as this film stars multiple "Buffy" Award Winners Eileen Hoang @eileen.hoang and Rona Bernadette Arrogancia @wilddrmz who play sisters. One of them is expecting a "client" in a hotel room, but it ends up being her sister who had paid for time to be in the room. Their discussion is filled with love, shame and forgiveness.

Again, our Festival has something for everyone and this one delivers the real stories and emotions and some great acting from the two leads!

We are very excited to showcase this at our 4th Annual Film Festival STFF 2026 at Esquire Imax @esquireimax April 10th-April 12th, 2026. Come join us at the Largest Screen and Best Screen in the Greater Sacramento Area!

This is the kind of progression I appreciate in my independent film career—knowing that my work can resonate with those who are churched and unchurched alike.

I’m truly grateful to be able to do what I was created to do, what I was called to do, and hopefully and prayerfully create stories that reach beyond the lines and boundaries society has set for us.

Different audiences. Different spaces. Same purpose. 🙏🏾🎬

We are excited to share a big announcement! We’ve been wanting to expand upon our monthly showcase to bring more to our film community, and now - we are! Introducing our expert led workshops 🫡

For our first workshop, we explore what directing actors actually looks like?

Join award-winning director and MFS founder Jeff Fong for a hands-on look at the director-actor process. Jeff will work live with two actors on a scene, giving direction, making adjustments, and showing how a performance evolves with proper direction. Then, we’ll do it all over again with a second pair of actors.

We will be featuring these talented individuals:

Phoenix Brewer @phoenixalexanderbrewer
Rona Bernadette @wilddrmz
Brandon Larson @brandolarson
Deborah Bromley @debjbromley

We’ll be inside Studio 135 at CLARA for an intimate experience, with attendees surrounding Jeff and the actors as the scenes unfold right in front of you.

🎟️ $30 General / $20 Students (must show Student ID at door)
🥤 Light snacks & drinks provided

Limited seating - RSVP at the link in our bio!

Special shoutout to @sayri.citlalli for the poster work, and for @phoenixalexanderbrewer in coordinating this workshop!
