Two weeks ago I had the final presentation of my 10-month Next XR Talent Residency, during which I developed an interactive VR prototype exploring vulnerability, gaze and various negotiations of agency in public spaces - a continuation of my project ,,Whose Choice?”.

It couldn’t happen without the support from @weareplaygrounds hub, our guiding XR fairy @wzzzt and my mentor @filmarcades 💫

~ after some time, I finally have the opportunity to share the results of a few months of work & learning 🤍 ~

Feeling surprised, uncomfortable or unsafe while walking alone at night is a universal experience that many people of different gender and age have faced at some point in their life.

,,Whose Choice?" is an interactive VR journey, in which user experiences the story of a young woman going through various street harassment and catcalling situations on her solitary walk home from the party. After missing her bus, an interactor will be presented with anxiety-inducing situations and following reactionary options. Can you ensure her safety?

In the presented prototype of the VR journey, users have the possibility to dive into different social dynamics as they navigate their way to exit the venue.
