Kolhapur 🏍️ Goa

We halted for lunch. And to our surprise this restaurant caught our eye. It was all truly unplanned and spontaneous. Mahalaxmi restaurant is at Sawantwadi on the main road that passes through the village.

The restaurant has unique vibe for the rider community.

- Chicken Sukka ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Surmai Thali ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Value for money
Worth a revisit.

Kathyani Temple, Kolhapur

Today I visit this Temple in Kolhapur. It's natural , serene and ancient. The old trees touch the sky.

To just sit here in solitude is a blessing.

Ps : Don't miss the last picha.

Basking in the morning glory.

It's so good to meet our animal friends in their natural habitat, where they are free.

The streets of Zermatt.

Crispy sunshine with a certain coolness in the air is a blessing.

Gonergrat Bahn - The Matterhorn Railway with the Rega helicopter 🚁 and Matterhorn Mountain in the background.

The Red helicopter at the top is @rega_offiziell. Its a saviour for hikers in the Swiss Alps. A true knight in shining armour.

My two favourite things in one frame.

Toblerone and Matterhorn have the legendary collaboration. One signifies the top of Swiss chocolate quality and the other holds the snow white purity of the majestic mountain.

Kolhapur is world famous for its Talims, aka Akhada. This is the most sustainable form of exercise which has its roots in ancient Indian culture. No airconditioner , No fancy equipments, no trendy diet plans . Great wrestlers are built here. The red soil in which the wrestlers prepare themselves is very indigenous to Kolhapur. It's the most fertile soil known to this part of India. Wrestlers focus mainly on the body workouts , iron & wooden weights are used in balance. Never over doing it. They also maintain a vegetarian diet, focusing mainly on milk, buttermilk & ghee (butter). One session of workout here is enough to knock you out for the day.
