Backyard Brisbane wildlife; a python feasting on a pigeon. An up close four hour Nat Geo live spectacle condensed into 60 seconds. It began at 2.30 in the afternoon and finally ended in the dark at 6.30 in the evening. The python was small, the pigeon almost too large for it to swallow, but after three hours of struggling to get its jaws over the birds shoulders it succeeded and before gradually swallowing it. What a spectacle.

$It’s Rainbow Bee Eater nesting time again…..that time of the year when you test your reflexes and the cameras high speed shooting capacity. A fraction of a second too slow and you might as well have stayed at home. Not to mention all the dud shots you took. But if you are lucky you may get a few keepers worthwhile posting like these shots if an amorous pair flirting… #aussiebirds #best_birds_of_world #eye_spy_birds #birdpoty taken in Bribie Island, Queensland by @wildeyeview$
