Letโ€™s talk about being healthy mentally.

One of the biggest places we find ourselves at war with Satan is in our mind. It is a precious and critical battleground. Thankfully, Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:17 that we have been given access to the helmet of salvation; the portion of the armor of God that protects the head - the mind. Satanโ€™s #1 goal here is to get you to doubt your assurance and your belief in Christ and all He did for you on that cross. The helmet is your constant reminder and protection that comes from what God has given to you through Christ. Depend on Him. This is the reason you can renew your mind rather than conform to the temptations of this world (Romans 12:2).

The set of beliefs and attitudes you hold about yourself and the world around you are what lead to the results you see in your everyday life. The quality of your thoughts, impacts the quality of your life. What stems from within you IS what will flow out of you. Your mindset matters. But it also takes intentional, active work. It does not happen passively. In fact, our sinful nature typically means the passive route is a surefire way to UNhealthy mental patterns.

Your mindset is what you make it. What are you spending your mental time and energy on? What are you feeding? Are you feeding a complaining, negative mindset that leaves you and those around you drained of energy and passion? Or are you feeding a life-giving, growth mindset, dependent on the giver of the Life Himself, that encourages and breeds fruit within your life and the lives of those around you? Believe or not, you get to decide. Each moment is a new opportunity to change the pattern and build a better one. Will you choose it?

With the focus on growth these next few months here at WILD Faith, of course one thing that comes to mind is growing this community and brand. There are definitely some big goals on the horizon in this next chunk of time with WILD Faith. With that, it felt like a good time to revisit why WILD Faith started in the first place, especially with so many of you who have joined on this journey since it began :)ย

While the word โ€œwildโ€ has meaning on its own, here โ€œWILDโ€ is also an acronym that stands for โ€œWalk Into Life Daringly.โ€ Both the concept of having โ€œwild faithโ€ and the acronym of โ€œwalk into life daringlyโ€ illustrate exactly what we hope to live out here at WILD Faith Collective. We donโ€™t want to just merely exist in our faith, but rather to seek to really live life boldly in our faith. Having WILD faith means being BOLD - It means doing the tough thing and taking the risk to step out in obedience, even when itโ€™s hard or we donโ€™t feel like it. It means shining in the dark places because you know that God is your source of hope and has lit you from the inside out. Thatโ€™s why we live differently.ย

This isnโ€™t an easy task, and for most of us wonโ€™t happen overnight. But it can happen in a moment if we choose to make one bold step each day. WILD exists to be a place that can provide resources to help others grow in their daily walk with Jesus, as well as a place of encouragement and community to support each other every step along the way. We seek to bravely step out as light, together, in a world filled with so much darkness and help show others the hope that can be found in Jesus ๐Ÿค by @wildfaithcollective

GROWTH. This word is a huge summer focus here at WILD Faith!

Growth is an incredibly important part of the believerโ€™s life. We find it all throughout the scriptures. Jesus himself even calls us to grow through the use of plants as an analogy in many of his parables and teachings.

So what exactly is growth? And why is it important?
Growth is the process of developing or maturing; improving or increasing - something that is growing has not yet reached its full potential or final state. It is our imperfections that give us the opportunity to grow. It is in our sanctification we see growth and only through that growth zone can we advance into the glory zone. The growth itself isnโ€™t the goal. The goal is to step into all that God has for us by becoming more like Christ with each passing day and tasting His goodness. A growing plant becomes a thriving plant.

So what does it take for something to grow?
Simple - it must be healthy. Healthy things grow. In order for anything to grow, it has to be fed with the right nutrients. It has to be surrounded by the proper environment. It needs someone (or people) pouring into it. All these other factors are what ensure growth. They also must be done consistently. Growth requires the daily disciplines that form into habits over time. If we focus on healthy disciplines, we form healthy habits, and create a healthy environment that allows for growth.

Over the next few months, we are going to be walking on a journey through this concept of growth and committing personally to healthy transformation in all areas of life - growing in faith, growing this community, and ultimately growing in Christ. We will discuss what it looks like practically to be healthy spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, relationally, or in your work, purpose, and calling. โญ๏ธ Merry Christmas from us โญ๏ธ

We hoped you have a blessed day celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior! We love you!

Can you believe itโ€™s already over halfway through December?! Usually around this time, as the year draws to a close, everything seems magnified to us; the things we thought would have happened by now that havenโ€™t, the relationships we thought we would have, the milestones we thought weโ€™d have hit, you name it. We put so much pressure on ourselves and we mourn our own ideals, all because of an arbitrary annual โ€œdeadline.โ€

It is good to set goals, but we must practice giving ourselves more grace when the plans of our lives donโ€™t work out the way we thought they would. We arenโ€™t even the ones who knew the proper timing in the first place. Only God knows how the plans for your life are set to unfold. He knows when that promotion is coming, He knows how that relationship or friendship youโ€™re searching for is going to arrive in your life, and He knows exactly why any number of those things havenโ€™t happened yet when you thought they should have. Delay does not mean denial. He cannot give you tomorrowโ€™s blessing today. Sometimes He needs to level you up. So breathe, keep setting goals, stay steady in the things you can control, and trust He always knows exactly what you need-not just what you want ๐Ÿค

We all know that we are called to give and to serve as followers of Christ. Tithes date all the way back to ancient Israelites. Jesus came to serve us and told us to serve one another. However, we also know that sometimes this isn't the easiest thing to follow through on when our sinful human nature comes into play. Pride, ego, and our own wants and desires can often hinder our ability to be truly selfless. But our perspective on giving becomes a lot simpler when we recognize that everything we have isn't ours in the first place, but comes from the Lord. Giving is truly an expression of God's love and He loves a cheerful giver. We are not blessed so we can have. We are blessed so we can give.

Here at WILD Faith, we are proud to stand with people around the world in raising awareness & support for those helping our communities. Join us and millions around the world in giving back, spreading kindness, and showing how together we can be a force for good on this #GivingTuesday

God has placed a purpose on each one of our lives. It is a declaration of why we exist, and a part of how God defines who we are. We are not aimless. We are not an accident. We are chosen. We are called. He has placed a good work within us. Our good is tied to His glory.

Sometimes we feel lost or unsure about the purpose God has placed on our lives. Sometimes we get so caught up in the fear that we even wonder if God has placed a purpose on our lives at all, because nothing seems to go the way we think it ought to. But where you see a mess, God sees a message. Your story is a one of a kind key that unlocks possibility in others. God is calling you higher; not because of your strengths but because of your story. Your struggles are connected to your calling and what qualifies you for greater impact. It isn't about discovering who you are, but becoming more aware of how youโ€™re divinely designed.

Godโ€™s goodness shines through our purpose by allowing us to know how He made each one of us personally. It shows us how we are called to help others in this world and to advance His Kingdom for all eternity. Our journeys and purpose are not the same as our friends, family or anyone elseโ€™s. And that is a beautiful thing for which we should always be thankful. God made each of us uniquely to be a piece of His very special puzzle. ๐Ÿค #smallbusiness #thanksgiving #purpose #christianblog #jesus #gratitude #thankful #instagood #explore #explorepage by @wildfaithcollective

One of the most common, yet sometimes the most difficult, areas in which we have to be grateful is for the people God places in our lives. Some come and go over the years. Others remain with us closer than shadows. No matter the purpose or the timeline, God specifically and purposefully places each one in our lives for different lessons and experiences. We should always remember to be thankful for these opportunities; God blesses us with families, friends, and even โ€œenemiesโ€ to forgive, so that we can demonstrate how to walk like Jesus.

A strong sense of community is essential in our faith as Christians. We have a sense of responsibility to one another. When we feel our faith is fleeting, we can lift each other up. We all need people in our lives that will share in our joys and our triumphs, as well as encourage us and speak truth over our lives as brothers and sisters in Christ. We must always remember the importance of building those relationships through love and positive actions. We are not placed in each otherโ€™s lives to judge, compare, or betray one another. We need to be thankful for the relationships God grants us, even when at times they are painful. The way we treat one another needs to be the same, filled with good deeds, faithfulness and forgiveness, just as the Lord shows us.

God Himself IS relationship. Before anything else, God was Father, Son, and Spirit. He created us for relationship, from relationship. He taught us how to love. He taught us how to forgive. He gives us everything we need, but we must also be in relationship with Him. Because when God is your source, it becomes the most natural thing in the world to let His love flow through you into the people around you. by @wildfaithcollective

โ€œOh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!โ€ We see these words written all throughout the Bible, and rightfully so.

We could never even begin to understand the magnitude and depth of Godโ€™s love for us. We donโ€™t need to do anything to earn his affection; He simply gives it to us. Despite our flaws and mistakes, His love for us is everlasting and unfailing. We donโ€™t have to be perfect. He loves us where we are, as we are. He adores our broken parts so much that he works tirelessly to make us whole. That kind of love and pursuit deserves nothing short of a constant outpouring of thankfulness and praise from our hearts and our lives. He is the giver of all good gifts and fills our hearts with joy. Maintaining a grateful heart reminds us of where our provision comes from and leaves no room for complaining. Even on days that seem overwhelming, remember to be thankful and to praise God for His faithfulness. He never said that this life would be easy, but he did promise that will always be with us (Isaiah 41:10), that He will protect us, (2 Thessalonians 3:3) and that He will give us victory (1 Corinthians 15:57).

Godโ€™s goodness and faithfulness to His people can part seas, defeat armies, make barren women mothers and extend beyond generations. His love for us is incomparable, unfathomable, overwhelming and never ending. The only reasonable response to Godโ€™s amount of love for us and His goodness is gratitude and worship. Afterall, we don't worship God because today is good. We worship God because He is good, even today. When you can't see God's hand, trust His heart. Because when God promises, He proves. #jesus #blog #christianbusiness #jesuslovesyou #jly #christian #smallbusiness #influence #impact #positivity #lovejesus #lovepeople #explore #photography by @wildfaithcollective
