OUR FAV VISIT YET,
TO THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER ⚡️

We’re halfway around the world,
In our favourite place on earth (equally Japan and the USJ’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter),
And while I know our little Luna won’t remember this trip,
The trip we took to celebrate has turning ⚡️ONE⚡️

I will.
I will remember the little moments,
The way she lit up,
Her smile,
Seeing her try new foods,
Experience new places,
The look of wonder she wore,
And the feeling of buying her first robes.

I will remember all those little moments,
And because we travel, and show her the world,
I hope she will grow up,
Full of curiosity, full of wonder,
Knowing that magic truly exists both at home and abroad.

We promised her a life of adventure,
And it’s a promise we plan to keep for a lifetime ♥️

MY WHOLE LIFE ❤️❤️❤️
Is thanks to a tiny, fleeting moment in 2014.

Making this made me look back at the last 11 years and realise I owe everything to that little moment all those years ago,
(And the ensuing Facebook stalking I did, but hey we can’t be perfect all the time).

Maybe it’s the season,
Maybe it’s because it’s only 1 sleep until Christmas,
Maybe it’s because our daughter is 8 months old today,
Or maybe I’m just nostalgic,

I hope I never forget how magical this first Christmas feels,
Grubby little hands grabbing everything,

A story I was told countless times.

‘Just wait until’,
And then they would insert something hard about having a baby.

But who needs that?
We all know about the hard,
I think we should start telling people the good, the great, the wonderful, the life-changing magic.

Don’t worry,
I’ll start.

JUST WAIT UNTIL,
Your first family holiday.

Just wait until,
They smile and giggle at the little things.

Just wait until,
Through them, everything feels magical again.

Just wait until,
You get to see the world through tiny eyes.

Just wait until,
You get to watch them look at the world in wonder.

Just wait until,
You get to watch your babe discover the world.

Just wait until,
You get to instil a sense of adventure and exploration on your little one.

Travelling may be different with Little Luna,
But all the ‘just waits’ in the world could never have prepared me for the joy I would get from showing her our wild world,
