deadprairiesproductions Here’s the short bio that @thelarataillon wanted to share:
“Born and raised in southeast Saskatchewan, film actor, touring and recording artist Lara Taillon has been seen on TV, film and stages across North America.”
“After many years in musicals and reviews, and living in Los Angeles, Lara embarked on a solo career and hasn’t stopped. Winning awards for her songwriting and energetic stage presence, Lara won the votes of Canada’s biggest music agents, Ralph James and Jason Furman, propelling her to the top of Canada’s prestigious Band Wars at The Roxy. This earned her the headlining spot for Nickelback’s after-party on their most recent “Get Rollin’ “ tour. “
“She’s not a Country Girl, or a Rock Chick or a Pop Princess, she’s all three and then some! Defying genres, she calls her style of music a “Prairie kid’s playlist” thanks to all the influences she grew up with, like Rock, Metal, Country, Pop and R&B, and she always hits the stage like it’s gonna hit back. “
“She’s thrilled to be sharing her music with you in this new film and she can’t WAIT to play for you!”

My second single, “When You Come To It” will be out Friday, April 24 💛🌾

The last 2 months have been dizzying, frightening, and at times excruciating. I’ve endured what I thought was one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. Turns out it has also been incredibly purifying and clarifying.

On a really low day, I had no idea what to do but sit in bed with my guitar and ask the universe ~ what do I do? what do I need to hear right now?

And this song came out in a few minutes. I’ve played it everyday since. It’s brought me so much comfort, and I sincerely hope it can do the same for you. 💛

Here’s a sneak peek of the first verse. More to come. Xx

New music out today from “Sharper’s Florist.” I got the privilege of producing and mixing this track with the band. “Car Parts & Cutlery” blends gritty, offbeat storytelling with raw, indie guitars that feel both chaotic and intentional. The track weaves together fragmented imagery and sharp lyricism, creating a moody, almost cinematic vibe that sticks with you after it ends.
