There is something powerful about looking back at Scripture and seeing how God has always valued women. Not as an afterthought, not as an accessory, but as women created with strength, purpose and a voice.

Eve was created as ezer, a corresponding strength. Jael had the courage to act. And five daughters refused to accept that their father’s death should mean losing their inheritance.

Different women. Different circumstances. But each reminds us that women were never created to be powerless.

And as we look at what’s happening in our world today, the exploitation, violence and trafficking of women and girls, these stories feel especially important.

Because celebrating strong women in the Bible means very little if we’re unwilling to stand alongside women who need our strength today.

May we be women who notice, who speak, who protect and who make room for others to flourish.

Women belong here. And every woman deserves to live in freedom and dignity. 🌿

Yesterday was beautiful. 🌸

We talked about identity. About knowing who we are in Christ and refusing to let rooms, relationships, titles or other people determine what God has already settled.

You are chosen before they choose you.
You are called before they recognise you.
You belong before they make room for you.
Your identity was settled by God, not decided by people.

And then I looked around the room and realised that this is exactly what makes Wildflowers so special.

Women making room for other women.

Women arriving with friends, and women arriving alone who don’t stay strangers for very long.

Women pulling out a chair, starting a conversation, praying for one another, laughing together, sharing honestly and reminding each other of who God says we are.

That’s community. ❤️

To every woman who came yesterday, thank you. Thank you for bringing your warmth, your openness, your faith, your laughter and your story into the room.

Wildflowers isn’t amazing because of a programme or a breakfast. It’s amazing because you keep choosing to make room for one another.

Every month, you help create a space where a woman can walk through the door and know:

There is a seat for me here.
I don’t have to prove myself here.
I belong here.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession…”

Your unbelief does not limit God’s ability. It limits your access to what He is able to do.

Too often, without even realising it, we end up declaring that God cannot. Not necessarily with our mouths, but through lives that refuse to believe that He can, that He will do what He has said, and that He will do it for me.

God’s power does not diminish because we doubt Him. But our unbelief can stop us from entering what His power has already made available.

There is a difference between believing that God can do something and believing that He can do it for you.

Do not allow disappointment, fear or what you can see to become your final authority.

He can. He will do what He has said. And yes, that includes you.

Do not limit God through unbelief.

Chosen. Royal. Holy. His.

Who does He say you are?

Because there are plenty of voices ready to tell us who we should be, who we used to be, what we’ve done, what we haven’t done, and whether we’re enough.

But His voice gets the final word.

This month at Wildflowers, we’re making space to come back to what He says. To remember what is true, and to let that truth shape how we see ourselves.

🌸What a morning at the Wildflowers Ladies Breakfast! 🌸

Wonderful food, even better company, and a room full of women ready to go deeper.

We talked about *Ezer* — the Hebrew word God uses for woman in Genesis 2:18. It’s not a word for a lesser helper. It’s a word God most often uses of Himself: a strong deliverer, a rescuer, a powerful force who comes alongside.

So we asked ourselves the bold question: what would it look like to actually live as the Ezer God made us to be? To dare to use that God-given strength not just for ourselves, but to reach the Ezers all around us who don’t yet know who they are?

Every woman in that room is a powerful force. Imagine what happens when we start living like it. 💛

Thank you to everyone who came and shared so honestly. You are seen, you are strong, and you were created on purpose, for a purpose.
