The ferns along Primrose Path seem to be coping well with the prolonged dry period, but will certainly appreciate the rain due within the next few days. Other parts of the garden look rather sad. But we are luckier than people locally in Lauragh and Kenmare who don't have their own water supplies - their water is switched off every evening and doesn't come back until 8am!

The jungley view from the little bathroom window. There's a pot of paint sitting outside it, waiting for me to re-paint the dark green windows and panelling in a soft green Lichen Farrow and Ball colour. Damage caused to panelling by a burst immersion tank and pipes leading to a change of colour....

A little patch of self seeded Burdock, which appears every year. Not especially pretty, but determined. I often remove it as it's not especially attractive and blocks a view from a bathroom, but it always comes back.

Before we moved here to Coolcreen, we lived in Dorset in England. Our small (half acre) garden was chalk, so our Hydrangeas were pink. Here we have this lovely deep blue (except along the drive where years of limestone chippings have changed the ph of the soil)
