This week I’m in Singapore for ILTM Asia. One of the most important gatherings in luxury travel.If you’re here too, I’d love to catch up over a coffee or between appointments. A lot of people have been asking me what it’s actually like flying through the Middle East right now, so here’s my firsthand experience after flying Melbourne - Doha - Greece this week with @qatarairways The flights were full, Doha airport felt completely normal, and the journey itself was incredibly smooth. That said, travel decisions are deeply personal right now, and everyone’s comfort level and risk tolerance is different.One thing I strongly recommend: check your travel insurance carefully, particularly around war/conflict exclusions and disruption coverage.For me personally, I felt comfortable taking this route…BUT I also travelled knowing flexibility is important at the moment.Curious to hear how others are approaching European travel this summer. Coachella Day 3… went down as my absolute fave!!! My number one set of the entire weekend was @buntmusic (who wasn’t even on my schedule) but that’s the beauty of Coachella… discovering new music… and the energy he brought was like nothing else… so engaging (and I’ve got to say… his cameramen are the ultimate hype men and work harder than anyone… Mick even had one of them in his shoulders at one point). Day 2… Hallelujah! Bieberchella 4eva 🥰So many other epic acts too. Sombr & Royal Otis were two of many other faves today but there’s only so many moments I filmed… and I wanted to slot in some BTS… like camping onsite… I’m so glad we did this. It made a huge difference being able to roll about of bed, eye patches on, hang out with friends (glam time with Han in the back of the van listening to Biebs while we got ready was one of my weekend highlights) and maximise festival time. I always said I’d do a hotel but hallelujah I was convinced otherwise. #coachella #coachella2026 by @wildheartedworld

Coachella Dump: Day 1… Still pinching myself that we pulled this together at the last minute. After the FOMO of live streaming Weekend 1, we booked a flight on the Monday, spent a couple of days scrambling to get on top of work and pull it all together, landed in LA on Thursday night… and the rest is history. If you’re thinking, “Should I be worried about my trip?”… come sit next to me for a second 🤍The situation in the Middle East is evolving following recent US and Israel military action involving Iran. We’ve seen airspace restrictions, rerouted flights and cancellations across parts of the region. Airspace in the UAE and Qatar remains officially restricted, however limited services have resumed in Abu Dhabi and Dubai under strict safety approvals.It’s fast-moving, and you want certainty. It’s understandable to feel uneasy.Here’s what I’m doing:✨Since Sunday morning, I’ve prioritised clients currently travelling and departing within the next 72 hours. You are first in line. Real-time updates matter most here, and I’m working directly with airlines and suppliers to secure the best outcome for your specific circumstances.✨I’ve been reviewing all departures in the coming weeks and monitoring for material impacts. No news isn’t bad news, it means operations are continuing with adjustments. I’ve also been quietly lining up contingency plans where necessary.✨If you booked your own flights, don’t cancel prematurely. If an airline cancels, you’re typically entitled to rebooking, refunds or compensation. If you cancel voluntarily, you may lose those rights… and protecting your options matters.✨Australian travellers should follow official updates via the Department of Foreign Affairs and SmartTraveller website.This is exactly why having a travel advisor matters.When headlines escalate, I focus on policy, logistics and strategy - not speculation. Flashback to 2016: I was “successful”, exhausted, a little broken, and very good at pretending I was fine. I’d built a career I loved… then got too busy to build a life around it. Rock bottom came with long hours, zero joy, and a very loud inner voice saying something has to change.So I did the most logical thing 🙃Quit a well-paid job in travel. Started my own travel business (and travelled all over Europe, The UK & South America while working remotely). Chose to only work with clients I love. Signed up for a personal development bootcamp I couldn’t afford.Sold everything I owned.Moved back in with my parents so I could pay for the Bootcamp instead of Bondi rent. At the time it felt like failure. In hindsight, it was the smartest move I’ve ever made.Ten years later:✨ A decade in my own business (and tripled my income)🌍 90 countries (and counting)🧭 A life built on intention, not burnout❄️ And I capped the ten-year mark with my actual dream trip: Antarctica with @QuarkExpeditions (still pinching myself)Turns out betting on yourself works… especially when you stop trying to “achieve” your way out of unhappiness and start listening instead.If you’re in the messy middle right now… keep going. This year I didn’t take a single photo or video.No reels. No stories. No “hold on, let me get this.”I wanted to actually be in the moment…messy, loud, imperfect, real.
