Born and raised in the heart of the Kwakuchinja Wildlife Corridor, my journey began in a village where nature was my closest neighbor. Growing up as a local Maasai boy, I spent countless days grazing cattle, often encountering wild animals up close. These animals were part of my daily life, and their presence sparked a fascination with wildlife that grew into a lifelong passion.After completing secondary school, I asked my parents to send me to a wildlife college. For two years, I immersed myself in studying African wildlife, despite my father’s dream of seeing me become a lawyer. I even gave law school a try for three months, but the call of the wild was too strong to ignore. I left to pursue my true dream—and I’ve never looked back.I got my first opportunity at Chem Chem Lodges & Safari, I took every opportunity to learn and grow in the guiding profession, and today, with 9 years of experience in the field, I’ve had the honor of sharing the beauty of Tanzania’s wildlife, its people, and its culture with people from all over the world.Over the years, my passion has extended beyond guiding. I saw the power of social media as a platform to showcase the beauty of our natural heritage and to create awareness about wildlife and conservation. Today, I reach millions of people worldwide across different platforms each month, serving as a reminder of the importance of protecting what we have.My passion for guiding has also led me to photography. I dedicate countless hours to capturing the beauty of Tanzania’s landscapes and wildlife through my lens. Each photo and video tells a story of connection and wonder, helping people around the world see and appreciate what makes this place so special.From herding cattle as a boy to guiding safaris and inspiring millions online, my journey has been rooted in a deep love for the wild. What started as a simple Facebook platform to encourage and motivate fellow safari guides has grown into something I never expected. I shared tips, stories, and lessons from the bush — and the response was overwhelming.So many guides kept saying, “You should write a book!”At first, it felt like just a dream. But step by step, page by page, that dream came to life.Today, I’m proud to share How to Guide in Africa — a small pocket guide filled with the heart, wisdom, and real skills of guiding.It’s not just a book.
