🦎 Bornean Forest Dragon (Gonocephalus borneensis) The master of camouflage in one of the oldest rainforests on Earth.🍃It’s an arboreal lizard found in the lowland rainforests of Borneo. Living among moss and leaves, it spends most of its time resting on branches and tree trunks, moving slowly and relying on stillness to avoid predators.🍴It feeds mainly on insects and other small invertebrates, patiently waiting before striking with precision.🔎 thanks @boiiiiiga as always for your great work! 👀 LOOK AT ME - Swipe to get closer! 🐍 Bornean Keeled Pit Viper - (Tropidolaemus subannulatus)It is a stunning arboreal snake found only in the rainforests of Borneo. Its bright green body and keeled scales provide perfect camouflage among branches.Highly venenous, it hunts at night using heat-sensing pits to ambush small mammals, birds, and frogs.Special thanks to @boiiiiiga for spending three hours in the jungle at night, and sharing precious knowledge about all the wildlife we encountered. Tokay Gecko (Gekko gecko)One of Indonesia’s most iconic reptiles. Active at night, this impressive gecko hunts insects, spiders and other small prey across tropical forests, plantations and even villages.Its vibrant blue-grey body covered in bright orange spots provides excellent camouflage, while specialized toe pads allow it to effortlessly climb trees and vertical surfaces.The individual pictured here is missing one forelimb, likely the result of a past predator encounter or territorial conflict.Thanks @ayala_naro and @134guzz for guiding the herping session!#gecko #wildlife #indonesia #herping #wildlifephotography by @wildlifewithbalda

Trimeresurus insularis 🐍It’s a venomous pit viper found throughout the Lesser Sunda Islands of Indonesia, including Bali, Lombok, Flores and Komodo. Primarily nocturnal, it spends much of the day resting in vegetation before becoming active after sunset. It’s an ambush predator and it relies on camouflage and heat-sensing pits to detect lizards, frogs, birds and small mammals. 🐸 Polypedates megacephalus A master climber of the night, this tree frog spends its evenings hunting among reeds and vegetation near ponds and wetlands. 🦎 Maned Chameleon (Bronchocela Jubata)➡️ SWIPE LEFT FOR THE ADULT VERSIONThe Maned Chameleon is actually a species of tree lizard from the Agamidae family, famous for its bright green color and incredible camouflage among leaves and branches.They spend most of their lives in trees, moving slowly and carefully to avoid predators, feeding on insects and blending perfectly into the rainforest vegetation. Lucky enough to spot a Red Bamboo Rat Snake on our very first night of herping in northern Taiwan 🇹🇼🐍An absolutely beautiful species hidden deep in the forest.The Red Bamboo Rat Snake (Oreocryptophis porphyraceus coxi) is a nocturnal species usually found in humid mountain forests and bamboo areas across parts of Southeast Asia.
