a lil book stack for friday. scroll for vibes, lil moments of my week, & a lil selfie 🫶🏻✨

✨ currently reading: bury our bones in the midnight soil, and book 3 of dungeon crawler carl (so different but both really good so farrr)

✨ currently watching: love is blind S10, & knight of the seven kingdoms

✨ currently obsessed with: murasaki sweet potatoes. 🍠 baked whole in the oven. &then eaten whole. this is so random to talk about here but I have been eating at LEAST one every day. everyone pokes fun at me about it at this point 🤣 but they’re SO GOOD. they legitimately have the flavour and consistency of custard. I cannot handle how good they are 😭 I know I am so weird for this 😭

✨ currently listening to: old timey vintage music has really been hitting recently, and some good old soft jazz 🥰

what have you been up to?? 🥰🫶🏻 by @wildlightlibrary

next read! this hold with my library is gonna lapse too soon for comfort — I’m really living life on the edge with this one🤭 it’s so hard to be a mood reader and have to deal with library holds😭 I have so many books sitting on my shelf just waiting for the mood to strike, hopefully before I have to return them! 😆

I’m so excited to read bury our bones in the midnight soil, it will be my first V E Schwab book! the first page already has me like 😍✨

have you read it? what did you think? or is it on your TBR? 🤭 taken in BOOKSTA by @wildlightlibrary

valentine’s day coming up makes me want to revisit some cozy romances, like the love hypothesis 🤭 it is such a cute one and my first Ali Hazelwood! I haven’t read any of her new stuff yet, I’m scared 🫣 idk, should I do it? 😅
this post also features some views and a couple good eats that just made me happy. what’s your week been like? I’m sick and hoping I recover soon 🤞🏻 love you all 🫶🏻🌻✨💕 by @wildlightlibrary

hai my lovelies!!! my week has been so busy but I’ve had a bit more sushi than usual so I can’t complain about that 🤭
currently reading: glow, alchemised, percy jackson, and katabasis. I started off the year so strong and have petered off a bit since. I’ve been really tired recently and all I’ve wanted is to stop everything and just chill and home and read aaaaallll day but have had noooo time. What have you been up to? How has your January been so far? What’s your current read? by @wildlightlibrary

this is an upcoming read for me, but I can’t decide if I should start with CC, re-read ACOTAR first, or start with reading TOG (for the first time). HELP!! what do you think I should do? 🤭 by @wildlightlibrary

❝beauty is terror.
whatever we call beautiful, we quiver before it.❞

I only started this book before, but I already know it is going to be the most life changing, beautiful book. I am so excited to finally read it in its entirety this year. 🥰 have you read it? what did you think? by @wildlightlibrary

I got my new kobo a few days ago and I’ve already finished 2 books on it?? this has saved my year long slump from last year 🤭 I fear I won’t ever go back to kindle…although real paper books still do have my heart 🫶🏻 forever and always by @wildlightlibrary

✨meet the bookstagrammer✨

Hi everyone!! I’m Jenn! nice to meet you!! this is my first post. I used to have a bookstagram account years ago and I miss the community and love on this side of the interwebs so I wanted to come back and make a new account! I’m a little bit nervous, and the prospect of starting this new account is so daunting, so I really hope to make some book loving friends!
here are some facts about me 🥰

✨ I’m 25, and originally from South Africa 🇿🇦, born and raised. I left SA 5 years ago, I lived in Norway 🇳🇴 for 2 years, and then moved to the USA 🇺🇸 with my husband 3 years ago!

✨ I am a big city girl and a hopeless romantic 🥰

✨ I read a bit of every genre, and I have a particular weakness for beautiful words and prose. sometimes I read something so very beautiful I feel like I could explode.

✨ I love traveling, and I am always in search of new experiences and excellent food 🫶🏻 I just got back from a trip to Mexico!

✨ I take waaaayyyyy too many pictures, I am obsessed with the sky and all of its beauty (a good sunset will make me CRY), and I am obsessed with the beauty of all life’s ordinary and “mundane” moments.

✨ My reading goal for this year is 150 books. Last year I read a grand total of…1 book. so hopefully with this account I can meet some new book friends and meet my goal! so far I’m at 3!

please say hi!! I am so excited to meet you!! 🥰

with love,🫶🏻
