POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In 2004, Santa Cruz local James Sclar enlisted in the US Marine Corps. When got there, he found a toxic culture completely at odds with his family’s supportive upbringing, complete with relentless hazing and abusive leadership.

Despite his disappointment, Sclar was locked into his contract, and had no choice but to serve out his term. After four oppressive years of service, in 2008, he was finally discharged.

After he came home, Sclar had an extremely hard time adjusting. The trauma he endured left a lasting mark, and he was left searching for a way to process everything. Finally, after a few profoundly healing psychedelic journeys, Sclar made it his mission to utilize a wide array of plant medicines to help him heal his mind, body, and spirit.

After a transformative experience with the visionary psychedelic brew Ayahuasca, Sclar knew he was on to something. Dimethyltryptamine, better known as DMT, is the primary visionary component found in Ayahuasca. When vaporized, this molecule brings upon a short, yet intense high, with users reporting highly positive, transformative experiences, something, through experimentation, Sclar found out for himself.

Recently, a new treatment, known as DMT X, or Extended State DMT, became available to the public in Colorado, where DMT is legal. In this therapy, participants are hooked up to an IV line, where a constant drip of DMT is administered via an anesthesia pump. Earlier this year, Sclar signed up to participate in this revolutionary treatment under the care of @dreammind_labs

In this podcast, we discussed the details of Sclar’s experience, as well as the circumstances that led him there in the first place. We also delved into his passion for Kung Fu, surfing, and coparenting his ten year old son, Wesley. In telling his story, Sclar hopes that he can inspire other vets dealing with military trauma.

Cool! Someone took my description of one of my DMT experiences and used A.I. to make a visual representation of it, and it’s pretty cool! I love my own artwork of the experience, but this was very cool to see what the A.I. came up with! #dmtart #dmt #dimethyltryptamine #psychedlicart #psychedelic taken in Santa Cruz, California by @wildmanganja

This one goes in the treasure box! I’m extremely proud to say I am one of very few people who have ever experienced extended state DMT, aka DMTx. I waited along time for this particular psychedelic experience to become available. Ever since I learned about DMT and had my own experiences with the spirit molecule, I followed the studies being done at the Imperial College of London. I waited for the first Psychonauts to give their trip stories online, and was so excited to hear what they had to say. I knew I had to one day seek out this experience, and when @dreammind_labs began offering this very incredible experience, I knew it was time! I flew to Colorado, where I had one of the most profound times of my life! When I got this coin in the mail today, I was so proud of myself for going on such an amazing adventure, facing fears, and I’ll always remember this epic time in life! Thank you @dreammind_labs ! You guys are the best!!!! #dmtx #extendedstatedmt #nndmt #nndymethaltryptomine #psychonaught taken in Santa Cruz, California by @wildmanganja

Ketamine journey round 2 ! I just knew after the previous experience that I needed to go deeper. After having snorted lots of Ketamine, I knew I needed to try intramuscular injection ketamine. The first time I had one injection, this time I went for two. The second injection sent me in the deep end for the length that I was looking for. This medicine is really helpful, and I especially appreciate and am grateful for the support from Kate with www.newmindscape.com . This journey was especially beautiful. I was able to see with my minds eye the importance of my passion surfing, and diving deep into psychedelics. Somehow someway, I’ve been gifted this life with soooo many blessings. All I can really say is Thank you God. Thank you, thank you, thank you. My life is truly blessed. Ketamine is extremely wonderful. I fuckin’ love it! #ketamine #ketaminetherapy #psychedelics #intramuscularinjection #imketaminetherapy taken in Santa Cruz, California by @wildmanganja

Ketamine Journey! Thank you so much @breathandoneness and Kate Clemens PA-C for this truly wonderful experience. I felt like I was at peace, and was able to go in my mind and reshape, clean up my brain like molding a piece of clay. I really enjoyed the feeling, and at the peak felt like I was giving God a fist bump 👊🏼 😂. Really remarkable this medicine is! I definitely want to do this again at an even higher dose! Next time! 😁🥰 #intramuscularketamine #intramuscularketamineinjections #ketamine #ketaminejourney #ketamineceremony taken in Breath+Oneness by @wildmanganja

DreamMindlabs.com @dreammind_labs it’s been 6 months since my DMTx experience, and Im so happy that I got to do it, and am very excited to one day do it again! Can’t thank Kevin and Hayley enough for doing this incredible work! @kevinthorbahn @treskow It’s such an amazing experience that I do highly recommend people try it! Especially my psychonaut/ psychedelic friends! I’m looking forward to hearing more trip reports and also the release of @dannygoler ‘s laser experiment documentary “The Discovery “. Fun to listen to @chasehughesofficial talk about his experience. Terence Mckenna once said that if aliens landed on the White House lawn it would be way less interesting than the DMT experience, and I agree 100% and with all the hype about alien / UFO disclosure stuff, I think people should look into the DMT experience! #extendedstatedmt #dmtx #dimethyltryptamine #spiritmolecule taken in Broomfield, Colorado by @wildmanganja
