Today is my birthday.
And yesterday, the universe gave me a gift.
A track I made with the incredible @mustafaismaeelmusic
landed on @bedrockrecords
the legendary label of @djjohndigweed .
It’s called Loved Effortlessly.
Because that’s what I believe.
That love — real love — doesn’t have to be earned.
It doesn’t have to be performed.
It doesn’t have to be suffered for.
It just has to be felt.
One moment.
Out of your mind.
Into your heartbeat.
That’s the whole track.
That’s the whole message.
That’s what I’m still learning
on this birthday, like every other

Like all the best things, Colours of Love was birthed in pure inspiration; an ‘aha’ asking to be brought to life. 
It started in a true celebration of love. 10 years ago today, Guinevere and Lizz got married in Thailand with the help of their friends and family.

They’d been dreaming of creating a gathering where artists, healers, performers, free-thinkers, facilitators, designers, entrepreneurs could shine and share their hearts and dreams. 
That’s when the lightbulb went off: what if they combined this dream with getting married? 
“If we test drive the festival for our wedding, at least people will come!” 🤪

In March 2016, they arrived in Koh Phangan with two weeks to make it happen. With the hands and hearts of many, something extraordinary unfolded.   A week of love with their soul vow ceremony at the centre; to be witnessed in their love AND set off a love-bomb so radiant it would ripple into the universe forever more. 
222 invited guests became nearly 300. That love bomb went off in every way they’d dreamed. 
Most asked question: “What did you put in the punch?!” Answer: “Nothing… just LOVE!” 
Lizz and Guinevere always said ‘our love is bigger than us’. Although they separated years later, Colours of Love was one of the reasons they came together. It was their soul’s mission, no matter what. 
And that was just the beginning. To celebrate 10 years of alllll the colours of love, we’re sharing the real story of each edition as we head towards Croatia, September 2026.

#tbt Colours of Love ‘The Expansion’ 2019

I remember standing there, overwhelmed, wondering why I keep doing this when it feels so big, so demanding, so all-consuming. It takes everything. The blood, the sweat, the tears, the love.

And yet my heart exploded then.

Because I looked around and realised something extraordinary had happened. We didn’t just organise an event. We had built a community. A living, breathing field of magic humans who create the space together. We may book the venue, but you bring the spirit. Without you, there is no Colours of Love.

So many years later, this is still how I feel.

The hard work. The adversity. The moments of doubt.
And then the moment we all arrive.

When I look around and see you feeling safe, held, home in yourselves and in each other, I remember exactly why we do this.

This is our family.
This is how we connect.
This is how we create.
This is how we celebrate.

This is how we love.

And all these years later, my heart still explodes in exactly the same way.
