Remember that blurry little bird from yesterday? 👀🌿 Just a few hours after I posted that, this little cutie made an appearance in the backyard!

Meet the magnolia warbler! I’m pretty confident on this ID, but feel free to weigh in if you think otherwise.

Sometimes the clearer picture is worth the wait lol 🐦

I missed #warblurwednesday but this little guy has been evading me for days! I see it in my yard almost every afternoon but they are fast!😅

Any ID help would be greatly appreciated as I’m not too sure. 🧐

How it started vs. how it’s going 🫣🤺

The Mockingbirds have been super active in my yard lately and today, a fight broke out lol.

Swipe to see this Mockingbirds reaction to me 😆.

I always try to be discreet with my birding but he caught me lol.
My first time getting a Mockingbird picture up close. Usually they’re up high in a tree, confusing me with their mocking skills.

This morning, while walking around my backyard, I started noticing all the little signs that summer is slowly turning to fall.

The leaves are falling, the grass is browning and I found a butterfly who has reached its end. 🪦

It made me think about how endings can be beginnings, too. How nothing really stays the same, even when we wish they did.

And then I captured my son, trying to put a leaf back on a tree.

Maybe that’s what makes change beautiful. One thing ends, another begins, and life keeps moving forward.

Tis the season for baby birds 🐣🍂

This morning I got the pleasure to watch these young Mourning Doves hangout in a tree by our deck. They’re in the phase where they hangout on the ground a lot so I’ve had to keep my dog at bay 😅. It’s so cool to see the different stages of animal life up close and personal so I had to share!

I figured it was time for you guys to meet the person behind the camera! 👋🏾👋🏾 I’m Dasia! I’ll be 30 this year, I’m a stay-at-home mom, and I’ve been married for 6 years!

Birding/nature is a big part of what I love, but definitely not the only thing. I’m also usually reading something, making coffee, baking and eating sweets, or stargazing 🔭

Sooo here are some of the other things I’m into besides birds 😆📚☕️

When you feel like a bird is posing just for you 😆

The birds were so active this morning and now I’m considering getting a bird feeder 🧐

My Carolina Wren greatest hits ✨

I’m realizing how quickly your list of favorite birds grows lol. Carolina wrens are small but quick, and sound 3x louder than you’d imagine 😆. They’re quickly becoming another one of my favorites.

American robin 📸

One of the first birds I saw when I moved to Tennessee. Every morning, they’d swarm our lawn for their earthworm breakfast 🪱. Now that fall is approaching, I usually find them looking majestic, perched on the fence lol.
