Attempt 1 at crossing the island.
Had quite an adventurous 2 weeks in Newfoundland, the plan was to cycle across the 550 mile old railway-turned-gravel trail. This did not go to plan, 2 days and only 60 miles in and I realized that I was not ready neither physically nor thermally. Already behind pace from gravely conditions and not having the ability to dry my tent in the face of cold, rain, and snow, I decided to cancel the cycling challenge.

Luckily, I was still in quite a beautiful province of Canada for another week and a half, so I did lighter cycling to get around in Stephenville. I met some friendly people and saw some cool cliffs, major change from Florida. Then at about a week in, I caught a bus to what was supposed to be my final cycling destination, St John’s.

I did a lot of hiking here and experienced a hostel for the first time, it was neat. I also got the chance to visit numerous museums and learn a lot about Newfoundland (The Rooms is a very nice building, with an excellent view of St John’s Harbor). And I saw an iceberg on my very last day, which was awesome!
Overall, the trip did not go to plan whatsoever, but I certainly gained experience and things to consider for my next trip. I am definitely going to come back here, to conquer the T’Railway and see even more of the things I’ve missed. (Glad to be back in warm Florida for now though)

Absolute NIGHTMARE build, Justice Gundam ZGMF-X09A, but it looks so cool. I finished it an hour ago but then it took forever to get it in the stand.
Now I will never touch it again. Unfortunately it’s fate is probably to fall off my dresser in the night and be cursed to sit in a coffee mug (looking at you, zeta gundam) by @wildwadew
