Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! Each year the National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed starting on September 15th to coincide with the independence day of five countries. This year’s theme is “Together, we are more” which is meant to celebrate family, resilience, creativity, faith, and service. It is meant to honor the diverse stories that strengthen our nation, invest in our future, and build a stronger America for all. During this month, we hope to highlight these diverse stories that strengthen our Chicago Dance community.

Wilfredo Rivera, Artistic Director of Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, details the process of working with his collaborators to explore the American Identity which gradually turned into the creation of Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre.

A beautiful part of BeMoved® is the sense of community we create—not only in the classroom, but beyond it. We come together to experience dance performances, share a meal, celebrate one another, and, in this case, travel together to share something we love.
Many of our BeMovers traveled from near and far to dance side by side on the Auditorium Stage in Chicago, creating memories, celebrating the joy of movement, and coming together for something greater than ourselves. Together, we danced to support the Chicago Dance Health Fund and showed just how powerful the BeMoved community can be when we move, connect, and give back together. @sherryzunker @estherjeles @chicagodancehealthfund @auditoriumtheatre @bemovedwithtiffiny @bemovedkrista @bemovedwithjennifer @bemovedwithtara @bemovedpatricia @bemovedwithjyoti @mtayjazz @wilfredo1269 @cherylmannphoto @haleybrwneyes @juliaperryh @ladyanp @rachel_regina_klapper #bemoveddancecommunity #bemovedinstructors #bemoveddancers by @wilfredo1269
