Met up with the legend @aa.vision a few weeks back to do some photos of his new prison-break pantsโ€ฆ not acquired in prison though.

Fun little shoot; weโ€™ll have to link up again for some bigger projects! taken in London, United Kingdom by @will.brnt

Four JDM Icons Iโ€™ve had the pleasure of shooting, with a surprise return at the end (a shoot which I have not reposted in a long time)!

How would you rank these four? Me? Like this:

1. Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution
2. Acura NSX
3. Mazda RX7
4. Toyota Supra (MkIV) taken in Everywhere by @will.brnt

I was sitting in Bikeshed the other day with Maciej, Sam, Romy and Ross discussing all kinds of things, but notably what were our โ€œbest performingโ€ and our โ€œfavouriteโ€ posts/pieces of media weโ€™d created.

That got me thinking; could I even pick 20? The answer to that is no not really, but I could probably try!

So hereโ€™s 20 of my favourites, with a different caption on each to tell you why.

The first: a Safari-build Porsche ripping up the spine at Swing-arm City in Utah. I went there with @safarixparty last year, and it was heavenly. Dust as all hell, but glorious, and I knew that was the singular shot to capture. Borrowed a 500mm capable lens from a friend and ran really, really, really far back to get the shot. Turned out absolutely perfect.

One of my favourite motorcycle shoots ever, with @pete_and_his_bikes and my ever-trusty friend @_dreamontwowheels behind the camera as the camera bike rider!

Perfect weather, beautiful bike, clean rollers. And this one was the cleanest. The grade also came to me quickly, and became a good base for many, many edits since!

When it comes to models, I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve worked as often or had as successful a set of results as I do with @rhonasmithh - and this shoot with @tonyserpini โ€˜s Alfa was no different. Rhona brought class and elegance to match the Italian metal beauty. We may have shot a lot Rhona and I, but this shoot was THE ONE to top them all.

Back when I lived in Sheffield, I was experimenting a lot. With photos, you dirty minded reader. Thatโ€™s when I figure out my look for black and white shots, which I called Mono-Dynamic. Save for a few specific tweaks that I enjoyed personally, itโ€™s just a hyper contrasty BnW edit really. But what it does do, in certain scenarios, is render into something spectacular like this shot of Ferrari 328 here. Blanketing out the background and foreground in white, with enough detail still retained on the jet-black car. I love this shot, and I donโ€™t really return to it enough.

This oneโ€™s simple. I love Fireblades. Thatโ€™s it, reallyโ€ฆ

Ah. Shooting @scarlett.v16 in a glass-roofed E46 while cruising over Westminster bridge. Love this for the timing of it; only removed one car off the b taken in Earth by @will.brnt

Did I ever imagine myself looking like a Supersport squid? No. Did I like the vibe of the 457? Yes.

Was the 660 even better? Oh yeah.

Cruise. Control. Baby.

No but honestly, the 660 had me really challenging my love for my cafeฬ racer. Donโ€™t get me wrong, I love my Enfield, I love how much I can do to it, but itโ€™s not an everyday bike! Itโ€™s an expression of me and what I love, itโ€™s tailored to how I ride and my proportions too. I feel like Iโ€™m one with the bike because I know it so well.

But I canโ€™t take a pillion, I donโ€™t have cruise control, and the clip ons are aggressive for longer rides.

The 660 is a brilliant all-rounder. Sporty but not uncomfortable; the pillion seat is nice too (sat on it with cruise control on lol) and itโ€™s just really well balanced.

This was the 35kw version too, for A2, so I canโ€™t even imagined how fun the unrestricted version is!

I could fully understand someone picking this as their one-and-only bike, because itโ€™s bloody phenomenal.

Thank you @apriliaofficial_uk for loaning this to me!

Thank you to my boi @_dreamontwowheels for taking the pics, and lending me his jacket/helmet/gloves for the shoot. Iโ€™m a racer boi now ;) taken in London, United Kingdom by @will.brnt

I hope that you came down to the Bikeshed today to see @haxchmoto and his beautiful bikes, but if you didnโ€™t, hereโ€™s some pictures of the beautiful Cyclone, a full carbon fibre, 2022-plate build done by hand. The perfect example of marrying true moto style with the advancements of modern tech!

Would you ride this bike? taken in Barbican Centre by @will.brnt

When I tell you that Iโ€™ve not had this much fun on a motorcycle except on my own personal cafeฬ racerโ€ฆ wow!

Every rider knows that in the UK (and the EU) youโ€™ve got a progressive licensing system. You can do the A1 at 17, the A2 at 19, and the A at 21 (or 24 if you go straight to full license). This means a lot of riders will get a bike with 94 horsepower, restrict it down for the A2 (or donโ€™t in some cases) and ride that around for 2 years.

However, that comes with some important caveats. The bike you restrict is designed for itโ€™s full power output; the weight doesnโ€™t change but suddenly youโ€™ve cut half of your available engine output, so itโ€™ll be a lot more sluggish and in some cases could leave you in a dangerous situation where you canโ€™t escape in time.

Itโ€™s rare, but it can happen when you need to throttle out of a bad moment.

Thatโ€™s why A2-designed bikes are a far better proposition, because they are purpose built for the power restrictions!

The RS457 makes the maximum allowed HP and torque. It also reaches the limit of power-to-weight allowances for the restricted license, because it weighs only 159kg!

Honestly, the 660s are great, but this little 457 knocked my socks off. It really surprised me, and I tell you, if it had cruise control, it would be the perfect daily sport-bike to ride all around town and even on the motorway!

Had a lot of fun shooting this; never thought Iโ€™d suit a sport bike and I think my approach to the outfit might definitely be left field versus what other riders might wear on their sport bikes, but hey, individuality right?

Big thank you to @sidisportsuk who sent out a pair of boots specifically for this bike, I loved the look of them paired with baggy jeans for a more casual vibe.

Thank you as well to @josiahs.vision who shot these photos for me (I edited them) and to @a_a_rider for helping out with the camera motorcycle driving! Couldnโ€™t be attempting this whole โ€œpersonalityโ€ in front of the camera without my friends helping out behind it!

Oh, of course, thanks to @apriliaofficial_uk for loaning me this bike (and the 660 I have right now), hopefully this and the following posts make it worthwhile HA! taken in London, United Kingdom by @will.brnt

Did you know that outside my regular job (Freelance Creative Tomfoolery) - I am also an avid enjoyer of sitting/standing near to or on motorcycles.

Itโ€™s more of a hobby than anything, but Iโ€™m doing it again today ๐Ÿ˜ taken in London, United Kingdom by @will.brnt

The Festival of Speed; a monument to all the triumphs of automotive engineering.

I went to Goodwood last year and spent all my time in the rally stage, and so decided to stick around the hill climb this year!

Spend most of my 2 days there with the aussies @lincolnmorrey and @lifethroughoptics_ I even shot on a Sony woodyabelieveitmate? Yeah, an A7R6 with the 200-600mm, and the 300mm f/2.8.

I was more impressed by the lenses than the camera; and I wonder if you can tell which photos were shot on Sony and which were shot on Canon?

Brilliant time this year, hot beyond compare but a lovely event to go to nonetheless. Real good fun bumping into your friends randomly, listening to big engines rip past, all while drinking WAY too much monster. Caffeine was flowing.

BTS of life in recent months!

I feel like being more โ€œpersonal brandโ€ oriented means showing what I wouldnโ€™t usually show because itโ€™s not shot on my camera, or edited well. Itโ€™s just a moment Iโ€™ve captured (usually on my phone) initially only meant for me. To look back on, to show my friends, rather than to post.

Maybe thatโ€™ll make it interesting, so if any of these photos make you question something, ask away in the comments and Iโ€™ll tell you what was going on in them! taken in London, United Kingdom by @will.brnt

Why limit yourself to one E21 when you could have two?

Well @bmwe21motorsport also owns @bronzit_e21 which has been finished to an exquisite OEM+ level, and we took the opportunity for a brief but effective shoot the other day. It fits in perfectly at Bank; that Bronze paintwork settling into the palette of limestone buildings.

Sheโ€™s an understated beauty; not overtly extravagant but quietly perfect in every sense. The stitching, the hand brake, the steering wheel, the door handles, the clocks. No singular piece falls short of another and it all whispers of a subtle luxury meant only for a true petrolhead to appreciate.

How easily you could overlook it if you didnโ€™t know what you were looking at, and yet how captivating it is when you are โ€œin the knowโ€.

Brilliant day for it too! taken in London, United Kingdom by @will.brnt

The last few days have been an emotional rollercoaster; the burnout cracking through before my birthday, my birthday itself being fantastic, and then yesterday spent in an Aldi car park haha!

Not sure why but I realised I need to make more of an effort with the personal brand idea; I canโ€™t half ass it, Iโ€™ve got to go all in I think.

That starts with recognising some of the amazing people around me (those of which I have photos with because I rarely have photos of me despite what this post may appear to say).

New friends, old friends, friends I can learn from, friends I can laugh with, friends to take photos with and friends to take photos of! Friends who I can take deeply and philosophically with, friends I can cherish deeply, friends I see periodically but the connection never wavers. Friends who have my back in the worst moments. Friends who tell me off when I doubt myself. Friends who cheer me on.

Friends I love.

And of course my father, who, yes is โ€œDadโ€, I also see him as one of my best friends. We donโ€™t have to talk everyday but itโ€™s always the same when we do, I learn from him constantly, I laugh with him, I ponder things with him.

I like the idea of โ€œfriends are the family you chooseโ€, and Iโ€™m grateful for all my friends.

P.S. before anyone thinks thereโ€™s favourites, @shy_rajdev came first because I think I LOOK GREAT in that photo LOL taken in London, United Kingdom by @will.brnt
