New mural alert 🚨

Underneath International House, you'll find our newest addition to the Ashford Unframed Trail, "A Town in Motion" by renowned artist, @will__barras 🌳 🎨

London-based Will has created a piece that weaves together recognisable landmarks, people and landscapes from across Ashford Town and the wider borough. His distinctive fluid style and expressive line work are out in full force, beautifully blending the urban and rural scenes.

Celebrating the energy and connections that shape Ashford, the mural unfolds as a vibrant panorama of the borough...but take the time to look closer, for there are intricate details hidden throughout the piece that will make every viewing a little different 👀 🔍

What role can public art play in the repositioning of a building?

This short film tells the story of Oranges & Lemons by artist and illustrator @will__barras

A site-specific mural commissioned by @fabrixlondon and delivered in collaboration with long-standing partner @creativedebuts as part of our recent transformation of City HQ office building Bow Bells.

Inspired by the sound of the neighbouring famous Bow Bells and the movement, energy and diversity of people who have shaped the City of London for centuries, what was a well-used but overlooked cut-through adjacent to the building's glass box reception is now a permanent cultural intervention at the heart of the Square Mile.

The project is a reminder that some of the most meaningful changes are not just within a building, but in the spaces around it. Creating richer experiences and a stronger sense of place for not just a building's immediate occupiers but all those around it too.

Biggest thanks due of course to @will__barras as well as Calum Hall of @creativedebuts, whose partnership with @fabrixlondon has helped bring artists, culture and creativity into many of our projects over the years.

Thank you also to the @cityoflondoncorp for all its support throughout. And to all those who have played a part in the transformation of Bow Bells 👉

I made a painting for my old friend Tom @wellcutt @gt_retro_tom , he’s got an extensive collection of World Cup winning 90s GT mountain bikes. We worked through some ideas and despite GT’s Californian roots decided these bikes needed to be bombing hills in the Black Country by @will__barras

@temwauk hosted its Christmas Party last Saturday. They support communities in Malawi in agriculture, forestry, health and education projects, improving the lives of thousands of climate affected families. They had an auction which included one of my originals in ink and acrylic - Will Barras ‘Virgo’ Original.
The auction is over now , but please give @temwauk some support . They do great work to help communities in Malawi . by @will__barras
