On 20th December, For the first time, ten people from Rwanda have successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro Uhuru Peak together with Willah1000Miles.

Mt. Karisimbi Experience

Brave Adventurers, Mt. Karisimbi is more than just a hike.

It’s a two-day experience through the jungle, where every step brings a new challenge, a new story, and a new memory.

From the climb and the cold to the laughter and the tired legs, we embrace every part of the journey.

At 3,500m, we made camp for the night, surrounded by the beauty of Volcanoes National Park. We shared dinner, rested, laughed, and appreciated the incredible work of our chef, porters, and guide who make these expeditions possible.

Then came the final push toward 4,507m, the summit of Rwanda’s highest peak.

This was our 8th Mt. Karisimbi expedition, and every edition has given us memories we will carry for years.

To everyone who has climbed Karisimbi with @willah_1000miles thank you for being part of the journey. We truly appreciate your presence, your courage, and your spirit of adventure.

At 3,500m — Mt. Karisimbi Campsite.

After the first part of the hike, made it here, a home for one night.

Surrounded by the mountains and the quiet beauty of Volcanoes National Park, this was the place to rest, recharge, and prepare for the final push to Rwanda’s highest peak.

A little rest, a few laughs, and moments to remember long after the hike is over.

At Willah1000Miles, this camping experience is one of our favorite parts of the adventure. There’s something special about spending a night in the mountains, surrounded by nature.

3,474m above sea level Mount Gahinga. 🌋⛰️

A beautiful climb through lush landscapes, bamboo forests and some incredible scenery. But Gahinga is more than just a mountain the area is also connected to Rwanda’s Liberation History Tourism Trail including the Mu Rugano site which preserves part of the story of the Liberation struggle. 🇷🇼

Big thanks to @willah_1000miles and @rene_willah for making this adventure possible, coordinating everything so well and getting us there. 🙏🏾🔥
