Willard Middle School’s Wildcat Advanced Treble Chorus is honored to present Sydney Guillaume’s Men Nou—created in collaboration with the composer himself.

Featuring the Wildcat Advanced Treble Chorus under the direction of Erik Jacobs, with video & audio production by @blobfish.media and collaborative pianist Julie Longmire.

Next stop: The Virginia Music Educators Association Annual Conference in Richmond, where these incredible students will proudly represent our school on November 19.

We can’t wait to share this journey with you.

We are so proud to announce our 2026 6th Grade All-County Honor Choir delegates! 🎶💜💚

We had SO many brave young singers step up and audition this year, and the talent in the room was incredible! With only 7 delegate spots and 2 alternate spots available, this was not an easy selection process.

Congratulations to these outstanding Wildcats! 🐾 They’ll represent Willard at the LCPS 6th Grade All-County Honor Choir event this November, and we can’t wait to cheer them on!

A huge shoutout to EVERY singer who auditioned — putting yourself out there takes courage, and we are proud of you! 💜💚

Another pretty amazing stop on our Road to Richmond! 💜💚

Today our Wildcat Advanced Treble singers got to meet and work with Brazilian composer Daisy Fragoso, whose music we’ll be performing at VMEA this November!

Daisy helped us with our Portuguese, shared some insight into the music, and even got us up and moving with a little samba! 🇧🇷🎶

It’s pretty incredible that a choir room in Aldie, Virginia can connect with a composer in Brazil and make music together. Different languages, different parts of the world, connected by something we all love.

Huge thanks to Daisy for sharing her time, energy, and expertise with us today. What a cool experience for our girls!

The #RoadToRichmond started last week with VMEA Boot Camp for our Wildcat Advanced Treble Choir!

Special thanks to Alexis Hedlund, Helai Rutan, and Kelly Harbison for coming out to clinic with our singers as they prepare for this incredible experience.

And the pizza + movie party to close out Boot Camp? A whole vibe. 🍕🎬

🚨 BIG NEWS 🚨

We are beyond excited to officially announce that the Willard Middle School “Wildcat Advanced Treble Choir” has been selected to perform at the **2026 Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) Professional Development Conference**! 🎶✨

This is an extraordinary honor—not only for our students and school community, but because **Willard Middle School is the FIRST middle school choir in Loudoun County Public Schools history to be invited to perform at VMEA.** 💚💜🐾

Join us on **Thursday, November 19th** at the **Greater Richmond Convention Center** as we share what is sure to be a meaningful and unforgettable program.

Today, we’re giving you a first look at something special... 👀 Here’s a teaser from our upcoming music video featuring **Sydney Guillaume’s “Men Nou.”**

The wait is over! We are excited to announce the members of the 2026-2027 Wildcat Advanced Treble Choir!

A huge thank you to the 50+ talented singers who took the time to audition this year. The level of preparation, musicianship, and courage displayed throughout the audition process was truly impressive. We are incredibly proud of every student who stepped forward and shared their voice.

Congratulations to the singers selected for this year’s ensemble! We can’t wait to begin making music together and building on the tradition of excellence that defines the Willard Chorus Program.

💜💚 Five Years of Musical Excellence! 💜💚

Yesterday, our incredible team of eight music educators was honored by LCPS Visual & Performing Arts Supervisor Michael Pierson, Performing Arts Specialist Jordan Markwood, Assistant Principal Brandon Clarke, and Principal Dr. Michelle Campiglia as Willard Middle School was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Musical Excellence for the fifth consecutive year.

This distinction reflects the hard work, dedication, and talent of our students, teachers, families, and supporters. The award is earned when a school’s top performing ensembles receive an overall Superior Rating at District Assessment, demonstrating excellence in music performance and education at the highest level.

We are proud to continue a tradition of musical achievement and grateful to everyone who helps make Willard’s music program so special. Congratulations to all of our students whose commitment to excellence made this recognition possible!

After months of rehearsals, choreography, costume fittings, late nights, and controlled chaos… it’s finally HERE.

Tonight, 331 Willard Chorus students take the stage for Choirpalooza 2026: Back to the Future — The Y2K Playlist in front of a COMPLETELY SOLD OUT crowd of 1,000 people. 👏🔥

Boy bands.
Pop icons.
Punk rockers.
Massive production.
And enough Y2K nostalgia to send us all back to our AIM away messages. 💀📱

To our students, staff, volunteers, families, and community supporters: thank you for helping make this show something truly special. 💜💚
