Every now and then, I revisit my photo library and stumble across a forgotten gem like this one. It takes me right back—to a simpler time when it was just me, my wife, and our dogs, chasing sunsets and soaking up every ounce of freedom we could.

This shot from Deep Creek brings it all back: the stillness, the gratitude, the feeling of being completely present in a place that humbles you.

To those still living in the Great Land, I hope you never stop embracing what it means to be an Alaskan. I’ll never forget it.

It’s been a minute since I posted, but I’ve been busy doing what I love more than ever. Nashville is blustering with amazing people and opportunities, and I’m beyond thankful for every experience that comes my way.

Had the privilege of covering yet another incredible event for the 917 Society, a nonprofit dedicated to educating young Americans about the U.S. Constitution. This year’s guest speaker, Tucker Carlson, absolutely blew everyone away with his speech—it was one for the books. Grateful for this opportunity and the wonderful people I met along the way.

Throwback Thursday alert from deep within the archives! Back when my camera first became my constant companion, I was capturing so much life every day, sometimes only pausing to edit a handful of shots before rushing onto the next adventure. There was this one frame of Ceejay, a legend on the board whose fearlessness knew no bounds, that I tried to polish years ago but couldn’t quite get right. Fast forward through years of tech advancements and honed skills, and I’ve finally given it the glow-up it deserves. Engaging in a recent collaboration with the Anchorage Museum, I found myself delving into a treasure trove of old skateboarding photographs, a venture that I believe will stir considerable excitement. This journey down memory lane, revisiting frames from bygone days, reminded me how capturing the essence of skateboarding through the lens was almost as exhilarating as skateboarding itself.
