4th Place Intermediate J&J Finals with Kate!

Time to be sappy. Placing 3rd in novice last year at this event to 4th in intermediate this year is so cool. I have come to every NDF and this is the event that really started my dance journey. I never thought that this crazy hobby would become such a huge part of my life.

What made this one even sweeter is having my own dance community that I helped start to be there with me. Thank you everyone from Steel Country for the love and support.

Thank you Kate for the dances, you’re incredible. You’re such an athlete, it’s been amazing to watch your dance grow.

There’s something pretty special about having friends who share the love of dance the way I do. 🤍

The best memories are made when you can hit the dance floor with people who just *get it* — the music, the movement, the laughs, and everything in between.

And what better way to launch this video than on the birthday of the amazing @willcountryswing 🎂

Happy Birthday, Will! So grateful for the friendship, the dancing, and all the memories still to come!

Pro-Am at YESSS! Convention with @willcountryswing. Super sick song, super sick partner… I always have something in a dance that I wanna cut out cause it’s not perfect or cause I feel like it looks bad but this one I didn’t wanna cut anything out. We had a solid partnership and created some cool moments and super proud of him and this dance. Very honored that you chose me :)

One of my favorite things about social dancing is creating in the moment. This move happened spontaneously, and I love how it turned out. Thanks for the fun dance @willcountryswing !

Try this with us! 💃🕺

Intermediate J&J Semis with Liberty!

Yesss was incredible. I feel so blessed to have made finals for J&J at such a big event. Thank you to all my friends and instructors who have helped me get to this point.

Liberty, I love dancing with you friend. Background for this dance, Liberty’s left shoulder was hurting so I tried to connect to her left hand as little as possible. Apologies for my focus face.

Country Swing:
These competitions are open to anyone who has learned country swing, don’t be afraid to compete even if you’re new! This is a beginners comp. Each round of competition will include 3 songs played for 90 seconds before rotating the partnerships around the dance floor.
Jack and Jill will also rotate partners during prelims and semis. In J&J finals, whoever you pull is who you dance all 3 songs with. Jack and Jill competitors are judged individually for prelims and semis. You will not affect your partners score.
For this novice comp, we are looking for clean fundamentals and solid timing.
Judging criteria above are in order of importance. There will be medals and prizes for the top 3 placements.
We hope you enjoy the competition. It’s a thrilling challenge, but don’t forget to have fun!

Line Dance Survival:
In our linktree, you can find our line dance playlist. Any of these songs are fair game, no song swaps. We will up the line dance difficulty as we go. You have around 8 counts from when the steps begin in the song. If you don’t start doing the line dance within that time period, we will ask you to step off the dance floor. Slight variations from how what step sheet we have taught will not be penalized. We’re really excited about this competition as it’s not done very often. We hope you enjoy it!

Come have an amazing night with us!😁
