I’m super happy and grateful to be currently ranked No.1 wedding photographer in Devon @fearlessphotographerscom

Fearless photographers remains one of the toughest competitions worldwide for wedding photography and the hardest to win an award in, think Oscars in the wedding world.
I remember when I first entered Fearless Awards and thinking how amazing it would be to win just one award, so I’m super happy to have now won 5 wedding awards (*update- 8 awards now*) in total, which ranks me number 1 in Devon wedding photographers and now 3rd overall in the South West of the UK, so I’m super chuffed about that.

Here’s the awards that I have won up to now.

It’s always so important to me to try and improve my photography and business year after year- it’s all about bettering myself as a photographer and pushing myself to give the best that I possibly can for all my couples and me personally. I’m always looking to improve everything I do and never want to stop learning and exploring.

I’m super excited for the year ahead and all the weddings and adventures that await, and hopefully a few more awards.

Hey there, let's say a big hello and let you all know a little bit more about me 🥰

I'm a lover of life, my family, nature, adventure, travel, good food and drink and photography.

Photo 1) I've been a photographer for over 16 years now, 12 years full-time in Devon having photographed over 400 weddings and I have never missed a single one. I actually photographed my first wedding at 18 whilst studying photography at college on a film camera, eek. It was a dream of mine to be a photographer from my teens so I'm super happy that I made it here.

6) The highlight of my career was being an official photographer for the Queen back in 2012.

2 & 8) I'm a super positive presence on your wedding day, always happy and smiling, and helping you have the best day ever. I like to hide in bushes and stalk you 😂 - not quite, but I'm always trying to stay unobtrusive and always love a bit of fun.

5) My world, my family, my beautiful wife Alex and two super kind and lovely teenagers, Isabel and Tomas- how did that happen, I still think I'm 26 😁

3 & 4) I love to travel and experience new adventures. I completely love nature, landscapes and the sea and I’m super passionate about the environment. I've lived in New Zealand for a year and travelled around the world 3 times. Fave countries have to be NZ, Thailand, Costa Rica, Bali and Fiji.

7) I love good food and my dessert Island dish has to be a pho, so good! I love cooking, if I wasn't a photographer I think I would definitely be involved in food somehow. Craft beer, sours, good wine and great cwaffee all hit the spot too.

9 & 10) Made a dream move to live in Devon over 12 years ago now and love living by the sea and Dartmoor. Love getting out on the paddleboard and jumping in rivers and the sea on days off. This last photo was on the morning before a wedding in Scotland at Loch Tay last year, the perfect way to start the day.

So that's me, a still super passionate photographer full of energy and enthusiasm on your day.

I still have some dates left this year and plenty for 2025 so let me know if I can be of any help.

Michelle & Roy’s amazing Chinese wedding @rockbeare_manor_

This was such a fun day full of highlights on one of the hottest days this year- a tea ceremony to kick things off, followed by a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Rockbeare, with Roy arriving on a unicycle, a definite first for me! 4 dress changes, lots of speeches, a beautiful sunset, sparklers and then Roy playing the piano to Michelle instead of a first dance.

Such a wonderful wedding to be a part of, so a big thanks for having me there to capture it all for you 🤍

Four new awards in the latest @mastersofweddingphotography round 🥳

Super happy to win any award, so amazing to win 4 in this latest collection.

I love a good crying shot, if there’s any tears at your wedding I will be sure to capture it 😁

Super happy to receive 2 new @fearlessphotographerscom awards in the latest round 🥳

It’s always a real honour to win a Fearless award, as they remain one of the toughest competitions worldwide for wedding photography and the hardest to win an award in, so I’m always so grateful to receive an award and amazing to win 2 in this round.

This first award is from Stef & Ricardo’s beautiful wedding a few years ago at the amazing @thegreatbarndevon- this photo may look posed, but it’s the moment when the couple were just announced married and about to have their first kiss, all taken naturally in the moment. I love this image and the incredible lighting that John sets up at The Great Barn, composed with the perfect symmetry I was able to capture in this moment.

I’ve now won 8 wedding awards with Fearless, which keeps me ranked number 1 in Devon wedding photographers and now 3rd overall in the South West of the UK, which I’m super proud of.

What an amazing day Saturday was for Lydia and Jerome’s wedding @cliffhousesalcombe down in Salcombe- a day full of energy, loads of laughter and a whole lotta love.

Huge congratulations to Lauren & Robert, who got married yesterday down in sunny Salcombe.
What a beautiful day and an absolutely lovely, kind couple.

Excited to share a few previews from their day.

They had a church ceremony at the Holy Trinity Church before returning to the stunning @salcombeharbourhotel to celebrate, with perfect views overlooking the estuary and out to sea.

I loved all their little touches to make their day special, and especially Aston from @singingsurprise who brought the vibes and got the party going.

Whoop whoop, super happy to win a new @thisisreportage award in the latest round 🥳

This is Reportage is incredibly difficult to pick up an Award: From over 9,500 image worldwide submissions, the judges for this round chose just 50 Reportage Awards and 19 Story Awards, so super grateful to receive one.

I love this photo from Emma & Will’s amazing wedding back in May at the beautiful @gidleighpark- I was inside quickly getting the detail shots of the wedding breakfast set up before the guests came in, when the curtains were just opened, which revealed this stunning cake by Nicole @sweet_satisfaction_cakes to some children gathered outside, so I quickly spun round to capture their expressions, resulting in this favourite frame of mine.

It’s always such an honour to be asked to cover a surprise proposal and I’m always super happy to help with plans. Max got in touch with me during their road trip around the UK from Austria and I suggested Branscombe Beach for late afternoon, early evening and some lovely gorgeous light, as a beautiful option.

Plans were made and then I had to follow them, ninja style down the beach where I said it would get quieter with nobody else around. I stayed a good distance away and then with a longer lens caught all the moment completely naturally without Julia even noticing me.

I then suggested the Mason Arms pub after for a delicious meal, so all pretty perfect.

Such a fun, super relaxed and kind couple, it was a real pleasure to capture this special moment for them.

Hope to see them at their wedding, a little trip to Austria would be magical 🤍
