2025 - That was a wild ride. A year of both new and familiar experiences, a mix of the biggest and most emotional shows I've been a part of.

HUGE thank you to all those at the other end of the multi, all the techs and SEs, all the back liners, MDs and rest of the crew who make the show happen each day, and of course the artists for letting me make you a little louder.

Big thanks to @leemcmahon @rickywattsaudio @timsouthorn and @jamesbutera for keeping my seat warm and taking over the reigns when needed.

@solotech_uk_group @clairglobal and @murtwhelansound
For the gear.

Special thanks to @pikwatt Tom Pickett, who has looked after team Dermot since 2018 with SSE, with the A Promised Return package being the very last package of his Solotech tenure. I will be forever grateful for everything you've done 🙏🏻

Here are a couple of lil highlights:
1 - starting the year off with @zayn and 119dba screams
2 - stealing @danungaretti 's limelight in San Francisco
3 - The first ever @misneachfestival with @dermotkennedy in Sydney
4 - A long walk in soundcheck for night 2 in Boston
5 - 121dba screams in Mexico City with @zayn
6 - Summer evenings with @noahkahanmusic
7 - Pyramid Stage with @noahkahanmusic
8 - I can't see the stage, but at least it's going the right way at the O2 with @shawnmendes
9 - ah, not quite the right way
10 - Put @leemcmahon to use during the @shawnmendes handover
11 - 3 channels loud and proud in Notre Dame
12 - Team FOH with @ops_eats_lights after a super special @dermotkennedy show at the Ryman. Perhaps my fav of the year?
13 - Beautiful shows in beautiful rooms with Dermot
14 - Team America
15 - Maybe my fav day off of the year, hiking in Stowe with @clarkcwright
16 - Dress up for work day at The Museum Gala (we did smile too, promise)

📸 By @morgantevans @bobo.xxndigo @joelstagg @craiggordo @tdnoise and deffo some others (sorry)

Here's to 2026! Hopefully some more familiar and new experiences are up ahead.

Noah Kahan's FOH engineer @willdonbavand talks about his use of transform.engine and his love of Soothe Live in the transform.suite to assist with taming an ever-changing mix.

“It’s become an integral part of the workflow now,” he says. “The plugins may change, but how I get at them is going to be through transform.engine.”

#TransformTuesday While our memories of Montreux Jazz Festival last night are somewhat hazy, our transform.engine cuts nicely through the fog. #FourierAudio taken in Montreux Jazz Festival by @willdonbavand

Whilst I mostly reserve my feed for work posts, I'm pretty proud with this last weekend's long run.

Why not preserve my pale (now sunburnt) arms and short shorts for all to see?

Afterall running has kept me sane through covid and the years after...

What started out as enacting on FOMO 2 weeks before, became a reality at the @cphmarathon

I set myself what I thought was a realistic goal for my first marathon and bettered it by almost 6 mins.

Massive shout out to @tjekken and @han9balhen for running with me into the unknown 30ks, @christianmf___ for the bottle drop and of course @nbrorunning the NBRO cheer squad and all the NBRO people who worked so hard to create an incredible weekend for all.

3.24.06 - so next time I might train properly and take off 24.07 🤷🏻‍♂️ - I need to be able to walk properly first!

Reminder to self, smile more! taken in Dronning Louises Bro by @willdonbavand
