wrote a new Substack post today about being an Outsider in the music business.

this is definitely the most personal piece of writing i’ve done - about my devotional approach to my work and how important self-discovery is to my sense of purpose.

my record ‘for you’ is now available everywhere to stream.

i made this record by myself in my old USC studio in 2022-23. it started with me just wanting to experiment, both with textures and form. almost inadvertently, i arrived at these 8 songs, a stream of consciousness that pulls from both singer-songwriter and ambient music.

thank you to the friends (you know who you are) who pushed me to finally release this music more broadly, and to anyone who has taken the time to check it out — this record is for you. ❤️ by @willeasley

an ultra rare bass solo on ‘just a man’, from a gig last september with @paige.tbo and some of my oldest and dearest LA friends

this gig ended up being a live record, which i was lucky enough to co-produce with paige, as well as mix and master. we had no intention of making a record that night but it ended up being such a special document of an amazing gig
