Yesterday was a fun time at our second Fort Wayne TKA tournament of 2026, never expected to see so many legacy students coming to this tournament but it was pleasant to see so many people from my school coming to support and competing with each other.

I also wanted to give a big shout out to my good friend John Graham for coming out for representing spectrum 23.9 as we held our own booth at the tournament we’re we sold some T-shirts and did a morning podcast at the tournament, as well as a shout out to my family who came down to cheer me on.

Placing wise I was 2nd in open kata and 1st in chambara, all the videos seen are each chambara fight I did, I really look forward to the next tournament and hope you all have a great day

Yesterday was an amazing day at my third Fun in the Sun chambara tournament were my mom came to support me, got to see some old faces and even some new ones at this tournament, I was a little late with posting this since I have been sick today but feeling better now.

As far as my rankings I got 3rd in two competitions and 2nd in the other two and all of the content see were taken by my mom so huge credit goes to her for that.

I really do look forward to see you all on September 26th where Legacy martial arts and the TKA will be hosting the second Fort Wayne tournament of 2026, until then I hope you all have a great day 👍🏼

In honor for spectrum 23.9 fundraising 10,000$, I made a pledge to get punched in the gut if we reached that goal, my good friend Johnny got the honor to do so

Disclaimer: no one got hurt and I am a professional who has been doing karate for 10+ years so I know I can take a punch

Happy 4th of July 🎆🎆🎆

It was a fun day today in Selma, Indiana for the TKA tournament, I wanted to give a big shout out to my mom who came to see and cheer me on at this tournament and providing the content you see on here

It was nice to see everyone there competing and also having the chance to compete in a different town compared to a lot of others I had visited many times, I really look forward to the next tournament and hope you all have a great day.

Yesterday was an eventually day

First thing that happened was the disabilities expo where me and my friends from spectrum 23.9 advertised our partnership with 96.9 and our goal of fundraising enough to become an official fm radio station, I even got the chance to give a closing speech about our hopes and success for the future of our radio station which I was very proud to do.

Second thing in the day I did was go to the gym.

Third was me, my brothers, and my mom having an early Mother’s Day dinner at BJ’s

Lastly I went to see mortal kombat 2 at regal where I also bought a mortal kombat blanket.

Overall it was an amazing day and I’m glad I got to share it with so many people and hope to continue making more amazing memories. taken in Fort Wayne, Indiana by @willedwards1304

This weekends TKA tournament in my hometown of Fort Wayne was an amazing one, meet a lot of familiar and new faces and possibly had the most adult black belt competitors that I could remember we had in recent years.

Placing wise I was 3rd out of 5 people in open had kata, then 2nd out of 9 people in chambara.

I also wanted to give a big shout out to my friend John Graham who hosted his radio station spectrum 23.9 at the tournament and we did a morning podcast before the tournament started and that was fun to do. I also wanted to say happy birthday to my dad Shad Edwards who just turned 52 today 🎉🎂

Lastly thing I wanted to mention is I will not be attending the May 9th TKA Tournament for on that same day I will be attending and supporting the Fort Wayne’s Annuel Disabilities Expo where me and my friends from spectrum 23.9 will be announcing a big achievement for our radio station at that event which I will share more about when that day comes.

Hope you all had an amazing weekend and I look forward to seeing you all again 👍🏼

It was a great day yesterday at the TKA tournament in greenfield, met a lot of great people, made great results, and the long drives are always fun to go on.

In addition to this tournament I also had a family get together where we met my grandmother and cousins which we don’t get to see everyday and that was amazing as well.

Lastly I wanted to give a shout out to the students that I had the honor to judge in the 6-7 and 14-15 novice and advanced age groups shown on the score sheets shown in this post which I usually do on just myself.

I hope that you all had a great weekend and hope to see you all at the next one.

TKA Season Opener Tournament

This was an amazing day yesterday getting the chance to be at this tournament, crazy to believe this is now my 4th year in the TKA, one year I was learning the ropes, second year I wanted to be on the top of the leaderboard, third year was finding out what I can and can’t do, now this year my goal is to just do what I love doing the most with no expectations of what result I get out of it.

I also want to give a big shout out to my best friends John, Arron, and Troy who came out of their way to support me at this event, it really meant a lot to me.

Going forward with the TKA for 2026, I always will look forward to meeting great people, great competition, great sportsmanship, and great support from everyone who cheers you on no matter what result you get, really looking forward to the next tournament, see you all soon. taken in Muncie, Indiana by @willedwards1304

Today is my 22nd birthday 🎉🎁🎉

It’s crazy to believe how fast time flys but in that time I’ve met so many great people, discovered so many great things, and accomplished so much for myself to feel deeply proud of, each year has its own meaning and this year was about me finding what I love most and what I wish to stick to for the big majority of my life, such things being, my family, friends, work, and martial arts, it’s been such an honor to share this moment with you all who cheer me on and share your support for me through all my highs and lows, hope to keep sharing my positive days with you all and hope my positivity brings just as much to you as yours do for me, love you all and hope everyone lives their lives to the fullest.

It was a huge honor to be part of the TKA - Tournament Karate Association last tournament of 2025, crazy how it’s now been 3 years I’ve been part of this organization, the most positive thing I look forward to the most is seeing the adult black belt division continue to grow and more competitors continuing to perform their bests for their schools and set the best example for the younger divisions for when they move up in the ranks.

Now a sad bit of news I will be sharing is that going forward I will no longer be competing in kumite anymore for 2 reasons, the first reason is so that I don’t accidentally get injuried as that can impact my life heavily since I’m a very physical and active individual at work, karate classes, the gym, and group outings and having already had 2 close calls with 2 bruised ribs I don’t intend to risk it a 3rd time, now the second reason why I’m not doing kumite anymore is because the way I train physically and mentally isn’t designed for fighting competitive black belts, hope that explains why I’ve chose to make this decision.

Overall though it was a great tournament, great to see many wonderful faces and hope next years season will be even more exciting, always hope for the best for the TKA and for all who represent karate 🎉🎉🎉
