POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Unbound would not be what it is without the people behind it!🫶🏼

There’s so much that goes into making a weekend like this happen, and I genuinely could not have done any of it without this incredible team. From all the planning and problem-solving to the last-minute chaos, long days, and everything happening behind the scenes, you all helped bring @unbound.seattle to life!

So before anything else, this post is for the people who helped make Year 3 what it was 🥹

Forever grateful for my Unbound team 🤍

@_jellow officially made it to Seattle, so naturally we had to start the weekend with food 🍽️ Took him to @soufendcafe and everything was SO good. Honestly the perfect first stop before the Unbound craziness began 🔥

@unbound.seattle faculty meet up at @thenestseattle with @jojodiggs, @aligaroutte, and the Unbound crew 🌇🥂 Such a fun way to get everyone together before the weekend started!

More from our Unbound faculty meet up at @thenestseattle with @kine_camara, @aligaroutte, @ethanestandian, and the @unbound.seattle team 🫶🏽🌅 Good vibes, good people, and a very solid start to the weekend!

This one means a little extra 🥹 @candancebrown was one of the people who really got me back into dancing again during COVID, so getting to have her be part of Unbound this year felt very full circle!

So grateful for her, her energy, and everything she brought to the weekend 🫶🏽

A little Seattle sightseeing with @_jellow and the @unbound.seattle crew before the weekend got crazy 🎡 Had to give him the full Seattle experience while we had the chance ☀️

One thing led to another and our faculty night somehow turned into an accidental downtown Seattle adventure 😂

We started at @thenestseattle, had a little ID situation 👀, headed to @japonessaseattle, realized we were in the bar section, and then ended up putting our name down for the all-ages side ☠️

While we waited, we just walked around downtown, caught the sunset by the waterfront, and made the most of it until it was finally time to eat 🌅🍣 Honestly such a random but fun little memory from the weekend 🫶🏼

That one time when you meet your online friends in real life and rented a house together to hang out at. I enjoyed meeting every single one of you, and I’m so happy that we were able to create that authentic bond and friendship in real life and not just through a computer screen! I had a blast dancing with everyone at rehearsals and at the convention! Love you all, and I hope we can do this again real soon! So grateful that @fliptheswitchdance brought us together 🙏🏼

Had an amazing time performing with the amazing dancers of @thegardendancecompany at @fliptheswitchdance - thank you again @theaverygardner for letting me be a part of the piece!

Got to take classes from some of the best in the industry, got to dance next to incredible dancers from all the around the world! Got to see friends outside of the Seattle area, and I got to see my mentor from afar @alexander.chung again. My cup has been filled.

Also received some of the best advice from all the amazing faculty as well as from my FTS mentor @alyshapercy and amazing friend (not my mentor, but was also a mentor) @itsmarymason! 🙏

Thank you @alexander.chung and @jasminemason_ for continuing to make each year of @fliptheswitchdance even better than the year before. I don’t know how you two do it, but you do! 🔥

Can’t wait for FTS 2025! I’ll definitely be there again!

Still processing how special this experience was 🥹✨ Thank you @shilalat.s and @boboy_t9 for trusting us and bringing this group together. I walked into rehearsals for @noflexzoneshowcase not knowing most of you, and in such a short time I felt welcomed and part of something powerful. Sharing the stage with you all was such an honor and a moment I won’t forget 🖤🙏🔥

I cannot believe that @unbound.seattle’s first year is already over! Thank you so much @oliviaporth for allowing me to be a part of this putting this event together 🫶🏼 Love you all, Unbound team @atomolaseng @_ievab_ and Liv’s mom @engelj010!

Here’s to celebrating and rejuvenating before we get started on putting together year 2 (which has to happen now because we gave away a free pass to Unbound 2024 🤪)

Thank you to all the wonderful teachers who came to teach, the videographers/photographers, and to the amazing people who attended this event, because this could not have happened without each and every one of you! ❤️ Until next time!

When you get to take class from your dance idols and you don’t want to bug them but you do anyway… Thanks for teaching me how to have fun and how to dance for myself and no one else 🙃

Also, thank you @ginamichael_ for being such an amazing mentor! 🙏🏼 I’ve learned so much from you and will definitely be paying more attention to the music and songs I’m dancing to, so that I can form connections with the songs to understand better how/why the movement was choreographed the way they were meant to be executed 😌

Another plus of @fliptheswitchdance, I got to meet some of the most talented and amazing dancers, such as @joshkillacky and @jakekodish!

It was awesome meeting @joshkillacky in person after seeing a bunch of your videos online for the last many years! Definitely a cool and chill guy, even in person!

Another person I was excited to be able to meet was @jakekodish! I got to learn some of your routines during COVID, so it was pretty awesome to finally be able to meet you in person! Hopefully I’ll be able to take your classes in person next time I’m back in LA!

And hopefully I’ll run into you both again next time I’m back in LA!

Here are some highlights from my experience at @fliptheswitchdance 2022 convention!

Thanks so much for the mentoring and the guidance you’ve provided to Team Maroon @hughniverse! Ma(x5)roon, iykyk 🙃

Thanks so much to @janelleginestra, @galenhooks, @1triciamiranda, @brilovelife, @iamskot, @real_laurecourtellemont, @calvitjr, @sienna.lalau, @seanlew, @lylebeniga, and of course the amazing @alexander.chung for all of the amazing classes and wealth of knowledge you all provided us as choreographers and educators!

And thank you again @alexander.chung and @jasminemason_ for putting this event together and bringing the dance community together at this convention!

I’ve seen people I haven’t seen in years, I’ve met new friends, and I just had the time of my life dancing for no one else except for myself!

I hope that there will be another one next year because I know it will be 🔥 and I will be the first one to buy a ticket to fly back down to LA for this event!

Still unpacking my time in LA… After taking some of your online classes, I’m so happy I got to take a few classes from @karonlynntv and meet you in person! I enjoyed and loved the energy and rawness from your class! I can’t wait to come back to LA some time and take your classes again! @mdcdance

I finally got to meet the amazing @candancebrown! Thanks so much for such a challenging, yet fun and mind-blowing combo! That definitely reminded me of why I love and missed dance so much!

Being able to take your classes and do your private Soul-O Sessions during COVID is part of what kept me sane and got me dancing again. I love your artistry and am glad I was finally able to experience it in person!

I will definitely be back in your class next time I’m back in NYC! See you again soon!
