I finished this up a while ago but I thought I’d finally share it :). I wanted to create a series of paintings that explored humanity and the protection we’ve created for ourselves. Ultimately, it has allowed us to do some rather impressive things and explore some very interesting places. The first series of three depict Neil Armstrong and the first moon landing, along with his space suit. The other series of three shows Jacques Picard and the craft that took him to the deepest known point in our oceans, Challenger Deep. Though they may stand alone in these images, there was an entire army of individuals who guided these two and helped move humanity forward. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! :) by @william_easterly

I thought this was pretty interesting. So apparently the reason that Rome doesn’t have a more extensive underground public transportation system is because every time they decide to dig, they often find a relic of Ancient Rome and then have to discontinue the effort. The common saying is that “You can’t dig down more than six feet without finding something of historical significance.” This means that these construction companies are sometimes, in a way, more archaeological entities in nature than solely construction specialists taken in Rome, Italy by @william_easterly

The backstreets were probably my favorite part of visiting other countries. It’s where you’re able to get lost in someone else’s world and enjoy what it may be like to live there, vicariously living through those that pass by taken in Rome, Italy by @william_easterly

Rome is a very two-faced. It’s really cool in all, but the thermometer always read above 95 - thought that was a little sus taken in Rome, Italy by @william_easterly
