“Funny thing about the dark… it never turned its back on me. When warm hands faded and soft voices died out, it was still there waitin’ with open arms. I fought it for a while… but some things don’t stop callin’ your name. And the shadows? They’ve always known how to hold me better than this world ever could, People run toward the light thinking it’s gonna save ‘em… and maybe it does for a little while. But light burns out. Candles melt. Suns fall asleep. And when that last flicker finally dies, the dark’ll be waiting like it always has… patient, hungry, and whispering my name through its crooked smile.”
