🎥 Ideal Adventure 🎥

@j.colonge just dropped a postcard from the Norwegian coast.

« The plan was completely different at the start. We were supposed to navigate Swedish inland rivers. Logistics had other ideas, and so did the conditions. So we adapted, pushed north, and ended up somewhere better than anything we’d originally planned. Two weeks between sea and mountain with @anthonycalvet, @toniobouvier and @william_mermoud. Packrafts, tents, touring skis. That’s all we needed.

The moment I’ll remember most: paddling across the fjord with skis loaded on the packrafts, the Øksfjordjøkelen glacier sérac looming above us, dolphins breaking the surface beside us, ice calving into the water overhead. We beached the rafts and skinned straight up from the shore. The weather wasn’t on our side that day but the atmosphere was unlike anything I’ve experienced.

I had the Ubac 102 in 181 underfoot the whole time. For me, the perfect width to handle every snow condition an adventure like this throws at you. The whole trip is becoming a film, produced by Ubac Images, heading to ski and outdoor festivals this autumn. » by @william_mermoud
