Thank you. It has become clear to me, after countless discussions back and forth with health professionals, that the health risks of continuing competing at an elite level are just too high. I’m in good health as we speak but I can’t compete more on an elite level but I will continue to train gymnastics on a basic level.

I'm incredibly grateful for what this 18 year long career in artistic gymnastics has done for me. I got to fulfill a childhood dream of competing in the world championships, becoming North European Champion and gaining amazing friends for life. Striving and straining next to club and national teammates have been all the fun. Now I never had the perfect physical dimensions for the sport, although we did the best we could with what we had and fulfilled our potential along the way. Of course I want more, but it is time to be proud of what we have become and accomplished and move on to new adventures.

I want to thank you so much to you who have followed me on this journey and I will continue to upload on a daily basis here on Instagram, so everything will pretty much remain the same. Finally and most importantly, I want to direct such a big thank you to my parents and sister who fought for my career, relentlessly drove me to practice and loved me regardless of how I performed. My girlfriend who cheered for me and shared all the tremendous highs and lows, and her supportive, listening and empathic family. The club coaches and the national team coaches who taught me the craft. My amazing friends (you know who you are) and my extraordinary godparents who mentored me into purposeful performance. It’s been a hell of a ride and I will forever be a gymnast and cherish the lessons learned along this wild journey.

Above, you see some highlights from some of the best moments on this journey.

IT’S OFFICIAL.. I’ve been selected to represent Sweden at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
This is truly a dream come true and I can’t really describe the feeling of reaching your goal after so much effort and sacrifice.
At the same day of my hand injury last year, I sat down and made a big plan for a big comeback with one goal only, qualifying for the World Championships.
I started working my way back from the very same day the injury happened, training mentally, physically and trying to improve every aspect of my training. I sacrificed, went through much more adversity, many sleepless nights due to pain and finally reached the end goal.
I would like to thank my amazing friends, family and girlfriend @annafannylinnea who also sacrificed for this journey. You mean the world to me.
Also a massive thank you to my followers and brilliant sponsors who never lost faith.
