(Excerpt of reflections on the gratitude collection)

Here arrives gratitude, the inconspicuous result of griefs transformative nature. Through contemplation of the divine truth of life that is beginning and end, we come to find that all is impermanent. It would seem our only option in this awareness of impermanence is to pay attention to the passing phenomena of transient form, which, one could argue, it seems we have a debt of gratitude to the individualized and unique presentation each of us is receiving from moment to moment. This is surrender to the eternal now. We are all taking existence all too seriously while (comedically so) living inside something utterly absurd; a bizarre and beautifully tragic journey of conscious experience ever unfolding in this passage of time. Surrender is really our last resort, be it not your choice, death will eventually come to force your hand, as all life ends in the surrendering of form, the transformation of Self. The more we acknowledge this inevitability of sufferings end, the more we begin to cultivate a joyous equanimity for the process. In striving for this equanimity, devotion to gratitude seemed to be the obvious path to surrender into. Through this surrender came an emptying of self, and through this emptying of self, the negation of individuality, came liberation.

As the 33rd rotation approaches, the inevitability of some grand change begins to be revealed.

Excerpt of an excerpt from an excerpt :

… “appears to be” because it is clear as day - “I” am not this man. One may think one is someone, doing something, going somewhere, but even that is transient. Who one once was many years ago would not even recognize who one is now. Upon examination, all that one can see themselves truly to be is an awareness, sitting behind this illusion of man in some perpetual state of observation. All we’ve ever truly known, the only consistent aspect of this being, is this eternally present awareness in observation of a constantly changing self, some great SELF behind the illusionary self, ever present and wholly (holy) indifferent.

New works in many forms materializing but don’t hold your breath

*Liquidation sale* I will be at @realmtattoofest with well over 50 original paintings priced to sell. This is pretty much all that is left from the last 5 years of flash and works on paper and board. Some I’ve never posted online.

You can find me all weekend under the Gratitude Flag, pictured at the end on film, at some stage of its ongoing life. (If you know you know.)

To those located elsewhere, perhaps I will put what’s left after the weekend on my website if I can ever get around to updating it instead of wandering through the woods barefoot talking to trees and attempting to decipher what in g-d’s name all these birds are talking about. by @williamjosephtattoos
