During a wedding trip to Japan, @Hitomi Banks expressed interest in visiting a shop named, Kamimura Seika @3daime_kamimura, our neighbor discovered on Instagram. We took a taxi and located the establishment, which featured a 91-year-old gentleman crafting Japanese Mochi. Upon entering, we met a woman who assisted us. I inquired about the elderly gentleman from the Instagram post. She informed him about our visit, and he emerged to greet us. I requested a photo, which he kindly allowed. His grandson subsequently appeared to sell us some mochi. As we conversed, two women entered the store, and the grandson asked about our presence in Hamamatsu. Hitomi began sharing our story, impressing him with her proficient Japanese. We explained our situation, and I mentioned my three-year tenure at Chukyo University in Nagoya. The two ladies suddenly began speaking rapidly and inquired if I was Willie Banks, the triple jumper. I confirmed, and they revealed themselves as graduates who knew of me. We spent the next five minutes taking photos and discussing the remarkable coincidence. by @williebanks
