Residence 503 forms part of West Residences, Willing’s award-winning landmark in Mount Lawley.

This three-bedroom residence opens to sweeping city views, with floor-to-ceiling windows drawing natural light deep into the generous living spaces.

High ceilings and timber floors bring warmth and a sense of space, while the Miele-appointed kitchen and carefully considered finishes reflect the craftsmanship found throughout West. Beyond, an oversized private balcony creates a place to slow down and take in the skyline.

We’ve always believed that if you’re going to build in a neighbourhood, it’s important to become part of it.

Our connection to a neighbourhood continues well beyond the completion of a building — sometimes behind the coffee machine, sometimes around the corner at the bar or restaurant, but always as part of the everyday rhythm of the place.

It means we get to watch the homes we’ve created come to life, welcome familiar faces through our doors, and see new communities take shape around them.

For us, that’s one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Some of the most memorable moments are the ones you least expect.

To be recognised alongside some of Western Australia’s most outstanding projects was a privilege in itself. To then be awarded both the Mid-Rise Apartments Award and the Russell Perry Award for Urban Development Excellence for West Residences was an extraordinary and unexpected honour.

These awards also represent the hundreds of people behind the project. From our consultants, contractors and subcontractors to our project partners and internal Willing team, thank you for working tirelessly behind the scenes to make West what it is today - we are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Thank you to team at @udiawa, the judges and sponsors for this recognition. It marks a significant moment for West Residences and one that will hold a very special place in Willing’s history. by @willingperth

Golden hour at The Coolbinia.

Distinctive arches frame views across the green canopy and towards the city, while warm evening light brings depth and texture to the building’s signature brickwork.

From herringbone timber floors to generous living spaces that flow seamlessly outdoors, every element has been considered in relation to light, materiality, orientation and the way people live.

Years in the making.

West Residences began with an ambitious idea for a prominent corner in Mount Lawley — to create a building with a strong architectural identity, grounded in its materiality and built to endure.

From the distinctive Flatiron-inspired form and seven levels of brickwork, to the considered interiors and finer details within, every element has been carefully resolved over years of design and construction.

Now complete, West is exactly what we set out to create: confident in its architecture, generous in its residences and distinctly Willing.

A significant milestone for everyone who played a part in bringing it to life.

We’re pleased to welcome Deane Fairfoul to the Willing team.

A CPA-qualified accountant, Deane brings extensive experience across the property development and construction industries, having worked with some of Australia’s leading property organisations including Mirvac, Aspen Group, Peet, Cedar Woods, LWP / Satterley Group and SKS Group.

With a strong background in financial and commercial management, Deane is passionate about delivering meaningful financial insights, improving business processes and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

We’re excited to have Deane’s depth of industry knowledge and experience on board and look forward to what he’ll bring to the Willing team. by @willingperth

Construction continues to progress at The Coolbinia, with all basement concrete works now complete and the building continuing to take shape above ground.

Approximately 60% of the suspended Ground Floor slab is complete, with the northern half of the Level 1 slab now poured. Perimeter scaffolding has also commenced, alongside preparations for the brickwork columns that will form the building’s distinctive arches.

Next, works will continue across the Ground Floor and Level 1, with external brickwork and internal basement services set to commence.

Completion anticipated late 2027.

Golden hour at West Residences.

Materiality was considered not only for how it looks, but how it responds to its surroundings throughout the day. As the afternoon light moves across the building, warm brickwork, intricate masonry and metallic accents shift in tone, revealing new depth and detail.

At golden hour, those choices come into their own — catching the light, accentuating the architecture and giving the building a warmth that changes with every angle.

Coolbinia is much more than a location — it’s a way of life.

Neighbouring vibrant Mount Lawley, this established pocket is defined by shady boulevards, leafy parks and a slower, more connected rhythm of living. Walking trails, cycle paths and local cafés are woven into the fabric of the neighbourhood, creating a place that feels both calm and deeply connected.
