The Hartford Symphony Orchestra is excited to share an important milestone in our search for our next Music Director.

After nearly 200 conductors from around the world expressed interest, and following a rigorous, multi-stage selection process with input from musicians, staff, board members, and community advisors, we are thrilled to introduce our four finalists:

✨ Yaniv Dinur
✨ Jonathan Taylor Rush
✨ Alastair Willis
✨ John Morris Russell

Each finalist will join us during the 2026–27 season for a residency featuring performances and meaningful engagement with our orchestra and community.

We look forward to experiencing this exciting next chapter together.

A wonderful week in Doha with so many highlights:
- Mozart y Mambo with my "little“ brother @willisalastair and the fabulous @qatarphilharmonicorchestra & @kurt.meister.58 who made us feel so welcome ❤️
- having 4 members of my beloved @the.sarahbanda with me to play our Cuban music for the first time in this part of the world 🎺@haroldtrumpet 🎹 @edgaroliveromusic 🥁 @al_aguiar 🎻 @carlose_bass
- my Mum, sister @aliwillisx5 & Angus joining us from London
- the winter sun, lemon mints and the yummy arabic food!

To be able to share our music and our project with such a diverse, appreciative and enthusiastic audience here in Doha was such a pleasure and I can‘t wait to come back!
