Okay I know I say this every time, but ALICE BY HEART IS ACTUALLY THE COOLEST SHOW I’VE EVER DONE!

Best cast ever. Most impressive designers possible for this project. PHENOMENAL creative team. I hope I get to do this show again!

THE LAST FIVE YEARS

@butin.kendal and my senior thesis!

It was a CRAZY ride to get to the end (every single thing that could go wrong…) but I could not have asked for a better turnout.

Working with Kendal on such intimate and challenging material was a dream. It’s not often people get to star alongside their favorite person (both in close creative collaboration and through life itself.) Doing this with you was a dream and I ADORE you!

It was one of the first orders of business to secure the absolutely incomparable @ryan.crome as our director. And boy, are we glad we did! For someone fresh out of college to be directing at such a high caliber is one is way beyond my comprehension. Thank you for your talent and insight and for being such a fantastic friend!!!

This also could not have happened without @jakedahms23 . His musical insight worked absolute wonders and, without him, our show would have absolutely no music.

I would also like to extend an extra special thanks to two of our best friends @manananggdoll (for a beautiful book cover) and @paytonblahut (for a sick poster in a pinch) and for just being lovely!

And finally, this ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY would have been the death of me if it weren’t for Moon and Dr. Owl, our tech advisors, for making the technical part of this process happen (and happen EXTREMELY well!)

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: THANK YOU TO THE FANTASTIC AUDIENCE!!!!!!! Y’all were fantastic and I love you so much!

CHESS!!! Playing Frederick Trumper has been an absolute dream come true.

As an actor, the challenge of putting myself in the shoes of such a bitter and fragile man took an immense amount of patience. Trying to sympathize with a character who is SUCH an asshole (and one who I personally would deck the fuck out of straight up) forced me to lend FAR much more energy to my acting than I ever thought I could.

As a singer, I’m convinced these bitches want me to die with how fuckin HIGH I HAD TO SING!!!

Complaining aside, I would do it all again 80 million times for the chance to work with such a talented and dedicated cast and creative team. Being in a room with so much talent was intimidating yet SO wonderful, and telling such an anxious story (accompanied by an obscenely challenging rock score) has resulted in my new favorite dream role.

Thank you so much to all involved; I ADORE YOU ALL IMMENSELY! And to everyone who got the chance to come see us, from the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU!

Ah Kinkeelious Bootinis!!!

Kinky Boots has been a show I’ve loved for a very long time. When I found out I’d have the chance to be a part of it this summer, I was beyond ecstatic. Not only did I get to step in to a role that would challenge me more than I ever thought it would, I met some of the most lovely humans doing it.

To everyone at Highland Park Players: THANK YOU. In getting to know you throughout this process, you have taught me so much and inspired me every day I got to work with you. You are all beautiful humans and I cannot wait for our paths to cross again; it cannot come soon enough.

To my Angel family (Haus of Heaven): All 5 of you are beautiful, talented, kind, and patient beyond comprehension. Thank you for challenging me to push myself, thank you for allowing me to try something new in safe hands, thank you for picking me up when I fell down (Literally!!) and thank you for being some of the best sisters I could have ever asked for. I love you all so so deeply.

To the cast: you are SO GOOD at what you do. You all are like clockwork; each and every one of you had a specific function in the delicate mechanism that is Kinky Boots, and without even one of you, the show would not be nearly the same. You are all role models for the performer I want to become. I love you with all my heart.

To the entire creative team: thank you for being you! You gave us a space to create important, life-changing work. You took that work and made it absolutely beautiful. Thanks for making all of us actors larger than life, I love you all dearly.

This is a show that will always hold a place near and dear to my heart. I am forever grateful for the people I met and the experience I got to share with everyone that was involved. Thanks for making one of my dream shows STAY one of my dream shows forever. ❤️

MAN I miss Head Over Heels. Pythio was one of the most mentally challenging (yet very physically undemanding hehe) roles I’ve ever gotten the privilege of doing. Undyingly grateful for everyone involved 🤍💛💜🖤 by @williskindasilly
