My new album New Moon is here. 🌑🙏🏻 It’s an honor to share this music with you! These pieces moved through me with quiet clarity, a feeling of renewal, and now they can move through you. This album is dedicated to Ryuichi, with so much love and gratitude. 🖤

Thank you for your support over the years! It means more than I can express, and it truly makes this work possible. Thank you to my friends and family for your endless love, to @sv4 and @ghostly for believing in this album, Allison Jones @heyyskylr_ for the beautiful voice and harmonies, Alingo Loh @mentamoto for another sweet cover art collaboration, and @ryan__kleeman for the support during mastering. Thank you to Envelop and the whole @envelopsound family. The listening we’ve created together deeply influenced this album.

Gorgeous lighting design and DJ set with @newnostalgia_org , incredible @mcslee sunset sets, and @tychomusic sharing new album drafts and remixes 🫶🏻 @erasedtapesrecords , @ghostly and @sevwave listening sessions were so inspiring.

Nature had other plans so Sunday was cancelled, but we braved the storm and dug out of the mud to get home safe. 🙏🏻

We’ve been bringing Envelop to FORM since 2017. ❇️ This year we’re back at Arcosanti building a new listening space.

Envelop: Immersive Listening

Envelop is a nonprofit dedicated to connecting and inspiring community through immersive listening. The organization creates listening spaces, hosts diverse events, and develops free open-source spatial audio tools for artists.

Join Christopher Willits, artist and Envelop co-founder and director, for an introduction to Envelop. Attendees will experience immersive music inside Envelop SF, a pioneering 32-speaker permanent listening space at The Midway, learn about E4L (Envelop for Live) the software they create, and discover ways to get involved with the nonprofit.

Tides II is now on Youtube and all platforms 🌊🌕

“The ocean moves in rhythm, its tides tracing waves of gravity, gently pulled by the sun and moon.

Tides II is an immersive audiovisual piece by Christopher Willits inspired by the ocean’s timeless motion. Following 2024’s Tides III and Willits’ 2025 full-length New Moon, the music’s composition and three-dimensional movement mirror the oceans’ rise and fall. Overlapping Moog guitar and guitar synth interweave into smooth harmonic waves, creating a sea of sound to rest within.

“This piece is designed to loop, on headphones or while relaxing with someone you love. I spent a lot of time exploring how the harmonies, the spatialization, and the rise and fall of the layers can warm the space it’s in.”

With a binaural mix available on all platforms and full spatial audio playback in Apple Music, the sound is produced using E4L, the open-source immersive audio toolkit developed by Envelop.”
