Happy TENTH birthday to my baby 😭 double digits is always so rough, never mind 18 and 10 in the same year, someone save me. But my boy you did just that. I love you beyond anything you could come up with in this space time continuum (unlikely, you’d probably school me with quantum physics or parallel universes) I am so proud of who you are. Such a good friend, a good brother, a good person. It’s hard to believe we’ve already come this far. Aside from being proud of you i’m even more proud to be your mama. Happy 18th birthday to my boy. I can’t even believe it. No one tells you about this part, where you feel like you’ve made it but, truthfully parenting is never done, thank god. You may be tall and skinny now but in my eyes you’ll always be my chunky little boy. It’s hard to fathom that 18 years have gone by but my boy i’m so proud of what you’ve accomplished. I’m so proud every single day to have raised such a GOOD human. I will love you every second with every fiber in my body for ever. The world is yours and i’m blessed to be a part of it. Happy 17th birthday Ashton! My first giant, my first baby, my first best friend. I am so proud of you every single day and even more proud to be your mom, the role I was blessed to become after I had you. Our couch snuggles have become teenage talks and your wall-e blank only covers your window now … I may have to bribe you to attend events but, even with a reluctant “I don’t care” you still show up. Happy sixteenth birthday my boy. Crazy i’ve known you half my life now. I’m so proud of everything you do and everything you’ve accomplished. I miss my baby but i couldn’t be more proud of the man you’re becoming. To be able to do this life with you is one of my biggest blessings. To another year of quick witted remarks and late night bowls of cereal … or any time of the day cereal. I love you more than you’ll ever know.
