🌊🌿 Warm woodsy notes with a little ocean breeze…

Have you ever smelled a fragrance that feels like it belongs in two places at once? Caribbean Teakwood is like that for me. It has that warm, rich, woodsy scent that feels cozy and grounding, but there’s also something fresh and oceany about it that makes me think of a quiet walk along the shore. 🌊

It’s bold and sophisticated without being overpowering, and the layers make it so interesting!

✨ A little peek at the scent:
🫚 Spicy ginger and peppercorn bring a little warmth.
🌿 Tobacco leaf and rich teakwood add that deep, woodsy character.
🤎 Sandalwood, amber, and dark musk finish it with a smooth, warm richness.

It’s the kind of scent that feels right when the weather starts cooling down, but that little ocean-inspired touch makes you want to enjoy it any time of year.

I'm curious… when you choose a soap, do you lean toward fresh, ocean-inspired scents or warm, woodsy scents? Or are you like me and love a fragrance that gives you a little of both? 😊

💚 Three Things I’m Grateful for in My Business 💚

Running a small business has taught me so much, and today I’m thinking about just how much I have to be thankful for!

🌿 1. Every single purchase.
Every order, whether it’s one bar of soap or a basket full of goodies, means more to me than you know. Behind every purchase is a real person choosing to support my little business, and every sale helps our family. I never want to take that for granted. Thank you for being part of our story! 💚

🌿 2. The friendships I’ve made.
When I started making soap, I never imagined all the wonderful people I would meet along the way! From customers who have become friends to fellow small business owners who encourage and support one another, these relationships have become one of the sweetest parts of this journey.

🌿 3. Everything I’ve learned.
Who knew making soap would lead to learning about websites, technology, marketing, and all the ins and outs of running a business? 😂 I’m constantly learning something new, figuring things out, and growing along the way. Sometimes it’s challenging, but I’m grateful for how much this journey has taught me!

Willow Field Soap is so much more than making and selling soap. It’s about the people, the experiences, the lessons, and the opportunity to do something I love while helping my family.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Every order, kind comment, encouraging word, and friendship means so much to me. I’m truly grateful you’re here! 💚

Now I’d love to hear from you! What’s one thing YOU are especially grateful for today? 🌿 by @willowfieldsoap

🧼✨ If money were no object, what supplies would you buy for your business?

Oh, this one is EASY for me! 😂

FRAGRANCE OILS! Give me ALL the fragrance oils! 🥰

I already have a pretty good collection (okay, maybe a really good collection 😉), but there is just something about discovering a new scent that gets me excited!

I love opening a new bottle, smelling it for the first time, and imagining what it might be like in a bar of soap. Then comes the fun part… seeing how that fragrance behaves in soap and what colors might look beautiful with it. Sometimes there are surprises, and sometimes I find a new favorite!

Of course, there are only so many hours in the day and so much room on my soap shelves. And let's not even talk about how many fragrances I want to try! 🤣

But if I had unlimited money? My fragrance supplier might wonder what happened to their entire inventory! 😂

Now I'm curious…

👇 If you had unlimited money to spend on supplies for YOUR business (or your favorite hobby!), what would you buy?

Tell me I'm not the only one who gets excited about new supplies! ❤️ by @willowfieldsoap

🎉 Let's hear it for a customer favorite! 🎉

You know what makes me smile as a small business owner? Finding out which products you love the most! ❤️

Right now, the Mystery Soap Box is stealing the show at Willow Field Soap!

And honestly, I can see why. There's just something fun about a little surprise, especially when it smells amazing! 🧼✨

Each Mystery Box contains 4 bars of soap in 4 different scents. These are soaps from past seasons, last batches, or bars that have a little fading but are still perfectly good to enjoy.

Think of it as a little soap adventure! You might discover a scent you haven't tried before, rediscover an old favorite, or find your new favorite hiding in the box.

And I love that these boxes give some of my soaps one more chance to make someone happy rather than sitting on the shelf waiting to be discovered. 💚

As a one-woman business, it means so much to see you enjoying something I've made with my own two hands. Every order, comment, and kind word reminds me why I started Willow Field Soap in the first place.

Now I'm curious! 👀

Are you the kind of person who loves a surprise, or do you prefer to know exactly what you're getting?

🧼 How long does it really take to make a bar of soap?

You might be surprised! While making the soap itself doesn't take very long, there's a whole lot that happens before a bar is ready to find its way to your home. 💚

Here's a little peek behind the scenes at Willow Field Soap!

🌿 Step 1: Making the soap — About 1 hour
I measure all the ingredients, mix everything together, add the fragrance and colors, and pour the soap into its mold. This is the part where all the fun happens!

🌿 Step 2: Resting in the mold — 24–48 hours
The soap needs time to set up before I can take it out of the mold and cut it into individual bars.

🌿 Step 3: Cutting the bars
Once the soap is firm enough, I unmold it and cut it into bars. It's always fun to see how the colors and swirls turned out!

🌿 Step 4: The long wait — 4–6 weeks!
This is the curing stage. The bars sit on my curing racks while I patiently wait for them to be ready. It's a good reminder that handmade soap really does take time. 😊

🌿 Step 5: The finishing touches
Once the soap is fully cured, I bevel the edges to give each bar a nice, finished look. Then I photograph the soap, box and label it, and get everything ready for its new home.

🌿 Step 6: Behind the computer
I also create or update the product listing on my website so all the details are ready when someone wants to learn more about that particular soap.

And there you have it! What starts with about an hour of hands-on soapmaking turns into a process that takes at least 4–6 weeks, plus all the finishing work, before a bar is ready.

I love being able to make each batch by hand, from measuring the first ingredient to putting the finishing touches on the final bar. There's a lot of waiting involved, but that's part of what makes this little soapmaking adventure so special to me. 💚

I'm curious — did you realize handmade soap takes weeks to make, or did you think it was ready to use the day it was made? 🧼👇 by @willowfieldsoap

Let me brag about this soap for a minute. 🍂🤎

Pumpkin Pecan is just SO pretty.

I love the warm brown base with those brown and copper swirls. It looks like fall in a soap bar. And the scent? Oh my goodness. 😍

🎃 Pumpkin spice
🥜 Pecans
🤎 Brown sugar
🍁 Just a touch of maple syrup

It all comes together into that warm, cozy fall scent that makes you want to pull on a sweater, grab a blanket, and settle in for the evening.

This one just feels like October to me. 🍂

And now I want to know…

When you think of a fall scent, what comes to mind first—pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, or something completely different? 👇 by @willowfieldsoap

🧼 Choose your favorite looking soap! 👀

Which one catches your eye first?

A — Cactus Moon 🌙
B — Golden Orchard 🍎
C — Toasty Ghosty 👻
D — Harvest Fig 🍂

No need to know the scent. No need to have tried it. Just go with your gut based on the look of the soap!

👇 Drop your letter in the comments — A, B, C, or D!

And I have to admit… I’m curious to see which one wins! 😍 by @willowfieldsoap

A recent question got me thinking... 🤔

What's the most unique or unusual thing you've ever created?

I don't know that I've ever made a soap that I would call unusual—but I have definitely chosen some unusual scents! 😂

One that comes to mind is Creosote. If you've lived in Arizona for a while, you know exactly what I'm talking about. That smell after a summer rain is SO distinctly Arizona. 🌵🌧️

And then there's Pacific Northwest—which feels like it belongs about as far from Arizona as you can get! 🌲 It has that fresh, woodsy, evergreen kind of feeling that makes you feel like you've stepped into a completely different landscape.

Those are some of my favorite things about making soap. Sometimes it's not the soap itself that's unique—it's the memory or place that a scent brings to mind.

So now I'm curious...

What's the most unusual or unexpected thing you've ever created? Or maybe there's a scent that instantly takes you somewhere else? I'd love to hear about it! 💚 by @willowfieldsoap

There are some things about fall in Arizona that I absolutely love. 🍂🌵

Cooler mornings? YES.
Rainy days? YES PLEASE.
Being able to open the windows without immediately regretting it? 😂 YES!

But I have to admit… there is one thing I still miss from the East Coast.

LEAVES. 🍁🍂

I miss that moment when everything seems to change overnight and suddenly the trees are full of red, orange, and yellow. It’s just not quite the same here.

Of course, Arizona has its own kind of beauty, and I’ve learned to appreciate fall here in a whole different way.

So now I’m curious…

What is your favorite thing about fall where you live? 🍁 by @willowfieldsoap
