What a fabulous night! ☀️🎤🎶

I’m so proud of every single person who took part in our Summer Sing-Along, especially our first-timers.

We had an incredible turnout, a packed venue, wonderful expressive performances, and the most fantastic atmosphere from start to finish. The room was full of singing, dancing, laughter, applause and people genuinely enjoying music together.

My biggest joy was everyone joining in: friends, family, performers and audience members all became part of a glorious choir, and by the end it felt less like a concert and more like one big celebration!

Thank you to everyone who sang, supported, cheered, danced and embraced the spirit of the event. You helped create a truly joyful event.

My cheeks hurt from smiling and my neck from head banging. ❤️

Already looking forward to the next one! 🎵✨

It gets worse before it gets better. Every time you learn a new skill, whether it’s breath control, extending your range, or mixing your voice, there’s a period where it feels like everything is falling apart. Your voice cracks, the tone feels ugly, you wonder if you’re going backwards.

You’re not! You’re in the messy middle. That’s the exact space where your brain and body are rewiring and building new habits. Ever tried brushing your teeth with the opposite hand? Sort of like that.

So if you’re cringing at your own sound right now, don’t take it as a sign you can’t do it. Take it as proof that you’re on the path. Progress doesn’t look perfect - it looks clumsy, awkward, and uncomfortable before it looks effortless.

You might have heard the 10,000 hour rule - that's what's required to become the top expert in any skill. But to become generally "good" you don't need that much! In my experience based on coaching hundreds of students, 1,000 seems to be a good guideline number. Have you practiced this week? 😉
