Hiiiii😅 long time, no see. It’s quite literally been almost three years since we’ve posted on this page/lived in the bus but Justin and I are still finding time to get out and enjoy bus life on the weekends.

Life looks a LOT different now and I’m sure I’ll share more about that soon. But just wanted to hop on here and say hi to anyone we met along the road. We miss you and are SO grateful for the memories we had. Hope to see yall on the road again one day🫶🏻 by @willowonwheels_

When we bought this bus in 2021, I never expected to experience so much living in a year’s time. We’ve been pushed outside of our comfort zones an ungodly number of times and it’s always been incredibly beneficial to our growth. Living in a bus or in any unconventional way of housing pushes you to adapt and pivot at any waking moment. Of course this applies to everyone in life, but it’s a bit different not knowing where you’re going to sleep safe and sound and hope to god not to get a knock on the door from cops at 3am😂.

This lifestyle helps you appreciate the little things, like, running water, a hot shower, unlimited amount of solar energy, using an actual toilet✨, etc…

Living this lifestyle has allowed my creativity to flourish in ways I don’t think it could have living back home. The bus is more than just our home, it’s an opportunity basket, a place of curiosity, and most importantly, the most peaceful and most comforting place we’ve been.

Hiii, we’ve been MIA from here and YouTube for a whileeee now but for good reason…

Ever since these gas prices have risen and Justin’s been working full time, our life has slowed down a bit. There aren’t as many trips across the country, little to no adventuring and exploring parks, but we’re absolutely in love with taking a moment to slow down and enjoy the little things. Instead of moving from one place to another everyday, we finally have time to workout, do some yoga, take walks around the city, and focus on growing our relationship and careers. Don’t get me wrong, we’re sooo excited and ready to start exploring again and traveling to national parks but with these gas prices, we’re taking things slowwww🐢

Anyways, thanks for sticking around and we’ll be doing our best to keep you guys updated 🤍

We’ve officially lived in the bus for 6 months!!! 🎉

6 months of learning new things, seeing new places, and meeting new people. 6 months of growth I don’t think I could have ever achieved back in my home town. 6 months of the best time of my life with @justinkelley18

How long have you lived in your #tinyhome and what’s the most important lesson you’ve learned thus far?

If you’ve wanted to see the ins and outs of our tiny home and some cool features of our build, like my hidden studio, @tinyhometours posted our tour on their YouTube channel!

We often get questions about our build, such as:
•Where do you shower
•Where do you go 💩
•How do you afford travel

We’ve finally answered your questions in this video🙌🏼 Let us know what you think! by @willowonwheels_

Life update!! We’ve been away from this acc for a while mostly because living city life is really not that interesting 😂BUT we do have some fun things coming up!

Living city life has made us completely miss having our car and long story short… we’re getting the car shipped out here alllll the way from AL 🤩 No more dragging the bus around town just to run errands, woo!! More fun news, we’ll be headed to OR in June and we’ll be finally enjoying some BLM 🥲 City life is great but BLM is home for us! We oddly miss the extremely boring nights with no service and nothing to do other than enjoy nature. Is anyone else in city life right now just dying to get to blm?😂 by @willowonwheels_

A few of our many favorite features of the bus is the scaffolding storage under the back deck!

As an artist, my job requires lots of tools, one being at least a 4 ft tall scaffold!

Our first thought was to put it up on the top of the roof but we were afraid of wind catching it and it flying off, potentially hitting someone’s car. So that was a big no, so then we thought about putting it inside… but inside space is limited. After a long discussion, searching and searching for a space to put it, I remembered the previous bumper beams. They were exactly 4.5 ft apart and 4.5 in length! WHAT… absolutely perfect!! All we did do the beams was weld two more metal bars to the beams, that way the scaffolding stays secure on all our adventures!

These buses have so much space and it’s incredible how well it’s held up so far! If you have any cool secret compartments, give ‘em up, we wanna know in the comments! by @willowonwheels_

A tiny idea turned into us living our best lives!

Justin and I have been together for 4 years… and at 15 years old, we had NO idea what a future we’d have together. At 18 y/o, we had to start figuring out what our next move was. We didn’t feel compelled to go to college, so we thought our only other option was to settle down in a small town and pay rent, working jobs that didn’t satisfy our desires.

One day, we both stumbled upon a YouTube video of someone converting their school bus to live in. We basically said “what the f that’s so cool, wish we could do that”. Basically brushed it off and went about our day. Well.. the universe didn’t stop there. After an endless amount of videos popping up on our feeds, we started to wonder how we could afford this lifestyle! Thought about converting a small Skoolie to live in for a month-3 months and then settling down to get good paying jobs. Because that’s what we were “supposed to do”, right? Absolutely effing not!!! He and I went against everyone telling us it wouldn’t work out. They all said “you can’t live in a bus.. what about this this and this”. All we could respond with was “We’ll figure it out” and so we did. We bought the bus, didn’t tell anyone until it was in our name, drove it home and started the build process! Here we are a year later living in our bus, working remotely and traveling anywhere we want! It was HARD work but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The amount of lessons learned is priceless as are the experiences.

If you have a dream, go against the grain and do it anyways. The people who doubt you only make you stronger 🤍 by @willowonwheels_

The bus finally feels like home…

After 2.5 months of renovations and spending an enormous about of $ at lowes, I was starting to wonder why any of this was worth it. I kept hearing this nagging voice saying, just settle down, stop trying to make this silly dream come true. It was putting a dent in our pockets and Justin finding a remote job was putting a strain on his desire to continue bus life. But let me tell you how effing stupid that all seems now that the bus is finished and we’re happier than ever being back on the road! It feels like home, not just in the bus but being on the road. Idk if anyone else feels this way but being in a house is nice and all for the routine side of things but living on the road fuels every cell in my body. I’m not sure if it’s because I know everyday is going to be different or it’s the knowing of meeting new people and experiencing new things… or maybe it’s both, either way, I know my soul feels content here.

Anyways, here’s to finishing the build and being back in my home 🥂 by @willowonwheels_
