With God,I don’t need to pretend to be someone I am not. He accepts me for who I am and that’s all that matters.😊🙏🏿

It’s certainly not the highest paid profession, but for me,it’s highly paid off when you are doing as an adult what you dreamt of as a child. Today,I stand proud as an educator to some of Jamaica’s very promising children.

It’s also seeing the success of my students for me.☺️

Shout out to every teacher/educator,especially during these times when we have to be teaching and leading the nation’s children virtually.

You are appreciated! 🍎

I have so many questions. 🤔 Teachers do not get paid enough to go through all this at all,but it’s clear intervention is needed for this boy.

How much are we doing as caregivers/parents to protect our children?

Happy International Teachers’ Day to every educator! 🍎 😃

I landed this teaching opportunity at Spanish Town High School, right after graduation from The Mico University College!🥹 That was 11 years ago. 😱

While studying, I taught at Dunoon Park Technical High School (my Alma Mater) and Norman Gardens Primary & Junior High School (my Alma Mater) and had a remarkable experience☺️. It was a great feeling rubbing shoulders at those schools with teachers who taught me as a child. What a moment!😊

Teaching at Spanish Town High School, though, prepared me for every other job I’ve ever had.😊 When I stepped into the New York classrooms,I was ready 😁!

Shout out to the best teacher training-institution in Jamaica and the region, @themicouniversitycollege!🫡 🔥 by @willryanwilson

Watching this video, posted by @bellevuehospitaljamaica , got me so emotional.🥹 It has reminded me that mental illness is a respecter of absolutely NONE,regardless of what sphere of society you are located in.

Naybahz,it is so very important that we take care of our mental health.

Below are some Mental Health Care Tips: 🧠

1. Get enough sleep 😴
Aim for a consistent sleep schedule. Your mind and body need time to rest and recover.

2. Talk to someone you trust 🫂
Don’t keep everything bottled up. A friend, family member, counselor, pastor, or another trusted person can provide support.

3. Take breaks when you’re overwhelmed 🌿
Step away from stressful situations when possible. Even 5–10 minutes of quiet time, deep breathing, or a short walk can help.

4. Move your body 🚶🏾
Walking, stretching, dancing, exercising, or spending time outdoors can support your mood and reduce stress.

5. Eat and hydrate regularly 💧
Skipping meals and becoming dehydrated can make you feel physically and emotionally worse.

6. Set boundaries 🛑
You don’t have to say yes to everything. Protecting your time and energy is part of taking care of yourself.

7. Limit constant exposure to negative news and social media 📱
Take breaks from content that leaves you anxious, angry, or emotionally drained.

8. Give yourself permission to feel ❤️
You don’t have to pretend that everything is okay. Sadness, frustration, grief, and stress are real emotions. Acknowledge them rather than judging yourself.

9. Do something you enjoy 🎵Listen to music, read, cook, exercise, pray, create art, spend time with people you love, or simply do something that brings you peace.

10. Don’t be afraid to ask for professional help 🧑🏾‍⚕️
A therapist, counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other qualified professional can help you work through problems. Seeking help is a form of self-care, not a weakness.

❤️ Most importantly

You don’t have to wait until you’re in crisis to take care of your mental health. Small, consistent steps can make a meaningful difference. by @willryanwilson

I really don’t like that our Black men are hurting and turning against each other. However, if wrong has been done,Kai needs to come clean and say what he knows or knew.

Why would Reggie lie?

I really pray that Reggie gets the healing that his heart and mind need. My prayer for them all (including their mother) is peace, even if they do not get to reconcile.

Wounds like these cut deep, and sometimes they never get healed.😔

To anyone going through this or similar right now,I want you to know that you are not alone. There is help available,so do not be afraid to speak up. 🫂 ♥️

@kingstoncollege SHAME ON YOU‼️🗣️
I think we have already established that the boys were assisting the grade 7 student,so stop playing in our faces!🙄 It’s the audacity that you are not addressing the fact that the boy has been bullied at your school. What became of that investigation, Mr. Myrie?

And even if the boy did not tell you he was being bullied, it still does not change the fact that he was being bullied. Please,do right by that young man‼️

Jamaica Observer Report, October 1,2026:
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kingston College (KC) says two Grade 9 students seen holding a Grade 7 student over a stairwell in a viral video were trying to help him and were not bullying, intimidating or attempting to harm him.

In a letter to parents and guardians dated September 30, Principal Dave Myrie said the school had completed a comprehensive investigation into the incident and found that there was “absolutely no bullying involved”.

The investigation included a review of available video footage, written reports from the students involved, interviews with students and relevant persons, discussions with staff, communication with parents and meetings with the students and their parents. The school also said the matter was reviewed with relevant external agencies and personnel.

According to the school, the evidence did not establish that the Grade 9 students were bullying, intimidating, attacking or attempting to harm the Grade 7 student...

Parents, listen to your children and pay attention to who is around them. Sometimes the abuser is right there in your home, and you’d be surprised to know who it is.👀

I commend this mother for her bravery and dignity to do the right thing. 💖 🫂

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Claudette Thompson’s September 26, 2026 remarks:

⚪️Thompson said St. Mary is one of Jamaica’s “sex parishes,” referring to parishes where authorities are seeing a notable number of sexual-offence cases involving children.

⚪️She specifically distinguished St. Mary, St. Thomas, and Trelawny from St. Ann because of the presence of incest cases. She said St. Ann does not have incest on the list, while St. Mary, St. Thomas and Trelawny do.

⚪️Thompson said an increasing number of people in St. Mary are appearing before the courts for sexual offences against children.

⚪️She argued that sexual offences against children should be treated with the seriousness given to other major crimes, such as murder, and called for appropriate investigative attention. by @willryanwilson
