First autocross at Devens with the new setup and the car felt completely transformed. The @delta.x.motorsport rear engine pitch mount completely eliminated my clunking and made shifting much better, the oem bushing was far too soft. With a couple more alignment tweaks and a stiffer rear sway bar the car will be fully dialed in. First autocross of the year was a big success. At first it was surprising to see SCCA classify this car in AS, seemed oddly high and like it had no business being in this class… oh boy was I so wrong.

It was raining and about 50 degrees out that day which played perfectly into the corolla’s hands. The car was super predictable and the mechanical diffs reacted the same way every time. It was easy to start pushing the car harder and harder, it somehow just kept finding more ways to grip. Understeer was never an issue, if anything the rear end caught me out a couple times. With just a slight bit of trail braking or sudden lift off the back was very quick to rotate. Ended the event in 6/62 0.9 seconds behind the fastest driver that day in disbelief over how good this corolla is stock. #toyota #grcorolla #toyotagazooracing #gazooracing #autocross by @wills.drives

Little GR update, put 6000 miles on it since December and it’s been such a joy to drive. It’s been a friendly reminder that hp isn’t everything in a car and that there is so much more that makes cars fun!

I took it on a trip to Sunday River where the rain from the night before froze by morning, not only coating my car in ice but 15 miles of roads too. The GR Four plus Blizzak WS90’s clawed their way through with a shocking amount of control, still not entirely sure how it made it through😭

Have been sliding it around in the snow a ton too, the car is so easy to drive and the mechanical diffs make it super predictable. In track mode it’s even able to drift around in the dry and do donuts too

Installed my first few mods on it too! First was a Beatsonic pre amp which made a huge improvement to the speakers sound stage, it sounds much clearer and significantly more balanced now. Then installed some Rally Armor mudflaps cause uhhh rally car. Lastly installed an OEM Toyota roof rack to take the car on more adventures.

Last adventure was to Mont Tremblant in Canada, 7 hour drive to get there and the GR was comfy to drive, it’s the first car that I can comfortably drive over 3 hours and somehow also takes corners faster than any car I’ve had🤔

Practical, zippy, fun, and capable, it’s been the perfect daily driver these last 2 months and hype to take it on more adventures soon

A few years ago someone told me “Will, life is not a movie”, it hurt to hear that and was sad to hear. Life is amazing and beautiful and filled with unlimited potential to explore every aspect of this world. What’s sad is for too long I believed them.

After too many years of believing that, I made 2025 my movie, I did everything I had ever dreamed of as a kid, I got one of my dream cars, went to music festivals I always dreamed about, traveled to tons of new places, finally learned how to snowboard, I built my dream physique, and so much more.

What did I learn? Life is a movie and YOU are the director of that movie. If you really want something go do it and fight like hell to make your dreams a reality.

The last videos of the Alfa😢 This car in my eyes is the most engaging modern super saloon to drive, from the steering feel and response to the noise and linearity of the engines power ban, it was an absolute pleasure to drive. 1.5 years and 30k miles as my daily driver, there was never a dull moment in the car. This car has entirely exceeded my expectations. I never expected to enjoy driving this little Toyota so much, also never expected it to handle the way it does. I can’t wait to go on more adventures in this car and try out some rally autocross🏁
