Thereā€™s nothing quite like that first look inside a marquee. From a completely blank canvas to a space transformed into something truly special. Every detail comes together to create the perfect setting, ready to welcome guests and celebrate in style. And that moment when our couples see it all come together for the first time? Thatā€™s what itā€™s all about. From the very beginning, S&H had their hearts set on a huge statement floral installation, right above their marquee dance floor. Something completely unexpected, with breathtaking scale and a sculptural shape that would demand attention. As their vision developed, the idea of a dramatic, sweeping curved design, began to take shape. To bring this ambitious concept to life, I commissioned a bespoke metal framework, handmade especially for their wedding, allowing us to create something truly extraordinary. A bold, flower-filled focal point within the marquee, that instantly drew guests towards the dance floor and set the scene for one epic party! We talk a lot about dressing our porticos for that ultimate wow factor on arrival, but sometimes, less really is more. The wonderful glow of festoon lights, the soft transition from day to dusk, and the most magical welcome for your guests. No fuss, no frills. Just a little bit of atmosphere that makes a big impact. After all, ā€œsimplicity is the ultimate sophisticationā€. Photographer - @wonderfulandstrangeinsta #itsawills by @willsmarquees

At the top of this hill sat a grand marquee for the wedding of Steph and Ruairi. They packed so much into their plans from crazy golf to personalised pints of Guiness. This lot were up for the party of the year just outside of Westhill, Aberdeenshire and invited me along for the ride. Itā€™s crazy how much I couldnā€™t include in this short teaser, thereā€™s so much more to share! #weddingvideo #weddingvideographers #aberdeenshirewedding #marqueewedding #diywedding Video: @afterglowweddings Photo: @pocketsquarephoto 2nd photo: @jadeessonphoto Marquee: @elegantpitches @willsmarquees @esslemontmarquees Hair: @hairbylw_x MUA: @jadekoemansmakeupartist Dress: @lihihod @brownsbride Florist: @fauna_flower_folk Catering: @cflavoursalford Dog chaperone: @spotlesslychic Celebrant: @ewansomers Lawn golf: @go2eventhire Margarita Truck: @thelittlemargaritatruck Guiness Pints: @printmypint Cocktails: @10dollarshake Decor: @virginiasfurniturehire Live stream and generator: @standingovationuk Band: @tailoredents Music Licence: @musicbed Song: Worldwide - Louis II taken in Westhill, Aberdeen, Scotland by @willsmarquees

From tablescape perfection to a dining experience that brings everyone together. Thereā€™s something about marquee dining that creates such a buzz. The champagne flowing, glasses raised, incredible food being served and guests sharing those moments around the table. The finishing touches might set the scene, but itā€™s the atmosphere, the laughter and the people that bring it all to life.
