Anyone remember Chad Smith’s Red Hot Rhythm Method drum video from 1993? Here’s me trying to keep up with his and Flea’s jam. 😅🌶️

Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones and Louis Johnson had the ultimate groove formula 🪩 Can you spot the four different iconic basslines and do you think they work? HMU.

Had a blast taking the new 5 string for a walk with this one. @stuartzender and @jamiroquaihq are the masters of space - so much room to groove 🕺

Is Space Cowboy (Bass Cowboy) one of the best for improv?

I definitely find this the toughest part of playing, but it’s SO important and feels great when you lock it in.

@pino_palladino_official_ is the absolute king at picking the right note every time - effortless grooving on this @thedangelo banger 🐔

One of the most accessible / effective tools for a bassist - octaves! 🎶

How do you like to use them in your lines?

Also I’m an absolute sucker for the Starman, Demon, Spaceman, Catman - a timeless classic from @kissonline that’s ideal for octave practice 🤘

Does Mark King’s Love Games bassline for Level 42 slot in nicely on Jamiroquai’s Cosmic Girl? What do you think? 😬

A staple in the world of bass, What Is Hip? is a masterpiece from @towerofpower and Rocco Prestia. So much pocket, funk, groove and of course the percussive feel of the famous muting. I love the tone you can get from it 🔥

Also old Mother Nature took over the video slightly but the sun is placed on the three main elements - right hand, left hand, bass face ☀️
