I recently returned home from my exploration of this beautiful country c/o @visitjordan and @theblacktravelalliance 🇯🇴 and it was an experience I won’t soon forget!❤️

A lot of ground was covered and what better way to begin sharing my unforgettable experience, than with one of the infamous #new7wondersoftheworld , #PETRA !?!🇯🇴 Being able to see the Petra, the ancient “Rose City” with my own eyes was incredible! No video or photo could ever do it justice! It’s best known as one of the most elaborate sandstone cut temples for the Nabataeans that dates back over 2000 years. Trekking close to 1 mile down the narrow, winding pathway of the Siq, through the beautiful cliffs of the Petra canyon was rewarding once reaching “The Reveal of Al Khazneh-The Treasury”! I also had the opportunity to view it by 1500 candle lights the evening before at #petrabynight which was also magnificent! Sure, this is definitely a bucket list item but even more than that, an experience to remember and just one of many reasons why Jordan is a magical place to visit.

And just FYI, as a woman, a black woman, in a foreign place, where no one looked like me, I felt incredibly safe and welcomed. Jordan was beautiful and everyone was very hospitable. This was my first but hopefully not the last time visiting this part of the world! Stay tuned, Habibis, as I share all things Jordan with you!💚🖤❤️🤍

I always score when I go thrifting @goodwillnorthfl and I mean ALWAYS! And this time just may be one for the books! I’ve been wanting a closet system to transform my loft into a beauty room/wardrobe and my last #goodwillfind has helped me finally get that project underway! What a find! Jacksonville, get ready because we’re getting a little more paws-itively adorable! 🩷🐾 @pinkpawscatcafe is officially opening tomorrow, and it’s the ONLY cat cafe in Jacksonville! Imagine sipping on something sweet, grabbing a bite to eat, and hanging out with the cutest resident cats, including purebred and exotic kitties that are well cared for.

Of course, I had to try a few things! I sipped on the Strawberry Refresher with Boba, indulged in a Dubai Chocolate Tart, and enjoyed the Pesto Paws Turkey Croissant because you know your girl is always here for the food!

And when it’s time for kitty cuddles I couldn’t indulge too much because allergies but I got a few head scratchers in! If you love cats, you will absolutely love it here!

I’m loving the new Fall menu @cafecitojax 🍂 #hosted
On a rainy day with their playlist, a corner seat, and a Calabaza latte in hand, it’s just what the doctor ordered. I tried a few things off the Fall menu and enjoyed them all. The Apple Crisp matcha was lovely, the apple fritter cake was delish, and the Calabaza latte and Arugula and Prosciutto toast were my favs! It’s spooky szn and the beloved Spooktacular is happening for the 39th year @jacksonvillezoo 👻 There’s a fun time for kids of all ages and a family-friendly outing that would be memorable for years to come! I took my godson and his little brothers and we enjoyed interactive lights, activity stations, a skeleton disco, and lots of candy stations for trick or treating! If you have older kids, there’s also a pretty awesome scare zone that could really spook ya! Be sure to grab your tickets to enjoy Soooktacular this Halloween season each weekend in October and if you purchase at least a day ahead of going you can save $5 off of your ticket! 🎃🕷️👻 taken in Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens by @willworkforheels

There’s nothing quite like sailing at the Golden Hour to fix those Monday Blues. #hosted I was recently aboard Kini’s LegaSea with Making Waves Coastal Cruises for a sunset sail down the Jacksonville Intracoastal Waterways and it was so beautiful and serene. It was quite literally the perfect day and the best way to unwind after a hectic start to the work week. I loved seeing all of the wildlife while on board and though we didn’t see the manatees that day like I’d hope to, I saw eagles, roseate spoonbills, and lots of adorable dolphins to make up for it. For #travelingfoodiefriday we are in Memphis, TN enjoying some delectable Vietnamese cuisine @baotoanmemphis 🥢 Not only were the vibes and aesthetics on point, the food, cocktails, and service were impeccable! Everything we ate and sipped on tasted divine, including the tap water which I learned that night is some of the best around! If you visit Memphis anytime soon, Bao Toan is a MUST VISIT!

I recently visited @pecancraftkitchen and really enjoyed the ambiance from the moment we walked in. #hosted There’s a little shop where you can purchase some goodies to take home. My kinda place! I learned they do catering and have an online order pick up window on the outside of the building. Additionally, they have a full tap wall including wine by the tap! Sign me up every time!🍷 I was there for dinner and enjoyed the vibes and the lovely presentation of the food. I also loved how they brought the dessert options to the table making it hard to resist choosing just 1…or 3! The @13thfloorjax is back this fall and from now through November 7th you can go and get seriously spooked! Yall my homegirl couldn’t go last minute so I was there BY MYSELF! 😱 I was so scared but I made it through and made a few friends along the way!😜

No need to head to Hawaii for authentic poké when you can get it right here @makaijax 🍣 I was recently invited to check them out and wow was I impressed with their bowls and this is coming from someone who doesn’t eat a whole lot of raw fish. It was so fresh and so so good! I ordered the Salmon Lava flow and I already know this will be my go to order. It has a light torch and with the Hawaiian Mac salad and ginger, the flavors meshed perfectly! I also enjoyed the Volcanic ahi. It had just the right amount of heat! If you love a good poke bowl, Makai definitely has what you’re looking for! #hosted

Last Friday I enjoyed the Signature Bloom Experience @seiromemdesign and enjoyed every moment! 🌼 We were surrounded by gorgeous bouquets and decor and enjoyed an intimate evening with lots of laughs, great sips, delicious bites, and a fun class of bouquet making. Honestly, it was the perfect way to unwind after the work week and it’s a great way to enjoy something fun with friends.
