Meet Derrick, one of our Creative heARTS students at Diversified Opportunities! Kathy Riggs, who helps teach classes each week at Diversified Opportunities, shared with us that Derrick has never wanted to do any classes and usually just sleeps at his desk and makes no eye contact. BUT it seems that art has sparked something special. He now enthusiastically joins each art class and creates something wonderful every time. Seeing Derrick discover the joy of creating is exactly why we love what we do. ❤️ It's not just about making art. It's about finding joy, building confidence, and discovering new possibilities. The Creative HeARTS program is supported by the Martha Cheatham Hunter & Dr. William C. Hunter Family Foundation Fund. by @wilsonartsnc
