✨WIL @wilyee_wufu BOOKS OPEN✨

Wil Yee is a tattoo/visual artist based out of Bushido Tattoo, where he started his tattoo journey, and has over ten years experience focusing on custom illustrative tattoos, neo-traditional Japanese(influenced) tattoos and tribal mark-making designs. He uses bold lines and colors, black and grey to create detailed, unique and memorable tattoos that jumps off the skin the way an image jumps off a wall, page or screen. >> Through his rad apprenticeship (and rad mentor(s) )at Bushido, he was provided the opportunity to dive into many different technical styles and genres of tattoos that are evident in his work which is based heavily on his engaging illustration and painting/mural background.

Wil also has over 20 years in the art and illustration industry, working with corporate and individual clients where he continues to learn many skills that contribute to his art practice >>

including collaborating with different people and personalities. For Wil, tattooing has been one of, if not the most challenging, rewarding and humbling art experiences along his art journey and he embraces it with gratitude. Influences >>

Much of his art influences started from childhood memories feeling stoked for comic books, cartoons/anime, Hong Kong manhua/manga, high energy music and movie art, board culture, and now the amazing artists of brutal folk art, fantastical art and illustration from around the world >>

When not scribbling with sticks, paints or pixels, Wil enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, exploring, outdoor recreation, building things, martial arts, hockey and trying to be a better parent and human every day. (Parents aren’t human haha)Alberta University of the Arts- Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree w/ Major in Illustration- Minor in Graphic Design Red Deer College- Major in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and Ceramics
